Anyone own one? Anything to look out for with these cars?

Thanks,
Rob

I have a 2010. Fun car to drive. I have not had any problems. Bad blind spots when the roof is up and small side mirrors don't help much.

Oh yeah, MS wheel spacers are a must to make the stance look right.

The car is not for me, it's for a female friend. I already warned her to leave the car at home if it looks moist out.

4200 lbs or not it will be on the bumper of a 997. It's fast. 8200 RPM with the top down is quite a sound as well.

FWIW with all of the electronic controls it doesn't slide around much in the rain. Unless of course you want it to.

Aw man, you know the local rules!...how can we properly assist the car buying process without pics of the victim, I mean subject?

Rob,

Only words of caution is that them things suck gas big time. And very top heavy - the car that is.

worked for bwm so i'll throw some useful info out there

1: it's 3900 as a convertible, 3675 base hardtop
2: chassis stays firmer over time if it's driven the top down more often
3: get a paddle shift, the e9x m3 dct is pretty good nothing like the smg of the e46
4: when milage hit 59k, do maintance and sell it
5: or spend the 2500 on the extended warrenty, with M's when **** goes wrong outside a warrenty it gets expensive real quick
6: if it's going to be used at a track, upgrade the brakes

7: most important with the M3 Convterible....enjoy it
