Default Traded my 2011 Gt3 for F430..

GT3 is such a great car but had to let it go for this beautiful 6 speed F430. I always wanted a F car and the deal was right and did it.

I wish i can keep both cars...

All i can say is GT3 is one hell of a car , especially with SW exhaust. Thanks Alex, the car was 90% Ferrari in terms of sound. Anyone out there driving their GT3 without SW bypass , you have no idea what you are missing.

I know ppl want to know the pros and cons...i will say this.

GT3
Pros over the F430
1. Better Road Feel , communicative steering
2. Better Clutch , non hydraulic assist
3. Better Brakes
4. Confidence inspiring at speed

F430 is better for all the rest..
1. Better comfort
2. Better sound ( GT3 with sharkwerks exhaust is very close , but F430 is better imo
3. Better looks obviously
4. F430 feels faster
5. Like the lightweight flywheel in the F430 , revs so fast
6. Love the gated shifter

Bottomline , if you want a track car get the GT3 no question. For a weekend fun car which looks great and has exotic appeal get the F430. I had 2 porsches (GT3 , 700 HP 911 TT), it was time to exp something different, i am very happy with my purchase. I know there is another P car in my life. Until then my track days are on hold

PS: I will have my SW bypass up for sale next week. Its 3 months old and only 1500 miles on it.

Grorgeous car. If I had a RS and a fcar, then I'd be all set with my car buying for many years to come.

Btw, why can't you track the 430?

Thanks! I drove the F1 and 6 speed back to back...esp coming from a GT3 its got to be 6 speed all the way. I know i will get bored with F1 stuff in 2 weeks. Like the challenge of 6 speed especially with the quick rev LWF.

I will give it a try , but i get a feel that it wont be like the GT3 . The brakes are weak. Its too early to tell , maybe i will like it.

Aw thanks mate on the exhaust. Glad you enjoyed it! Now about that Italian Seriously enjoy her and have some fun... everyone needs to drive/try a gated F-car shifter at least once in their life! Glad you didn't do the paddle stuff!

2011 GT3:
3,160 lbs with no fuel.
390~ whp
long gear ratios

F430 with Daytona Seats:
3,210 lbs no fuel
410~ whp
short gear ratios

The standard steel brakes in the F430 cannot handle 3 laps at a racetrack, with track pads they get a little better, but the brakes are horrible. There is a kit available from brembo, track/street worthy, cheap and better than the stock 2011 GT3 brakes.

The suspension in the F430 is floppy, bad shocks valving, super soft springs, horrible. Fix is cheap too.

Everything else in the F430 is magnificent, with the best pieces being the engine and the e-diff.
