<< My DD
I'd like to hear more about this car if you have a chance.
Mine was "pretty" until this idiot came over into my lane and side-swiped me back in December. It's currently at the body shop.
It's an '07 and without a doubt the BEST daily driver I've ever had. The car is phenomenal and has almost zero problems over the 85k miles I've put on it....it was what I wished my 2000 Audi S4 was.

Here's a real old one. 1988 E30 325is. 213K miles and absolutely bulletproof. A few mods: Koni yellows, E30 M3 springs/sways/steering rack/aluminum control arms. Handles like an E30 M3, is relatively quick, and is cheap to maintain. I can't think of a more practical DD.
Cheers,
Joe

Not sure which one sounded better, i think the porsche sounds better when your step on it, but the Maser sounded great going fast and while its decelerating, gotta love those back-pressure pops, infact the maser is currently my ringtone, love the looks people give me when i get a phone call hahah lol

Yes and no...I will always love that car, and yes, just looking at the pictures of it last night made me miss it. Loved that color combination!
Having said that, I am a power junkie and a tech junkie, and my E60 M5 does not disappoint in either category. Having another 100 HP on tap at the push of a button is awesome. I usually ride around with the M button pushed and I have all my settings maxed out. The E39 M5 has more natural low end torque, but the overall power of the V10 engine is good enough for me at any power band (but it is INSANE over 5000 rpm).
Tech-wise, my E39 M5 had every option except electric rear shade so it was loaded for an 02. The E60 is just so much more technologically advanced, there is honestly no comparison. I'll just list things it has the the factory E39 M5 did not:
M power button with adjustable settings
SMG
Adjustable dampening suspension
Cooled seats
Active Seats
Comfort Access (never have to hit the button to get in the car, the sensors know your hand is there when you put it through any of the four door handles)
Start Button (no key needed)
Bluetooth
Sirius radio
Headlights that turn corners
Heads up Display
iDrive (really is easier than the NAV with the old **** on the right side)
I know I am missing a few, but that was enough to make me fall in love with the E60 M5 for mulitple reasons. SO do I miss the E39 M5, yes, for what it was. But I love my new car.
