Lots of ignorance and false info out there. Seems like people want to join the lemming parade. McLaren has fewer cars being introduced than any other mnfr. The 570 has been in production since 2015. Today there is the 570 and the LT version (600LT) and the 720s. Of course the hyper cars (Senna and the Speedtail) which are very limited. They are working on several new variants that won't be available for some time. Compare that to Porsche who has 30 versions of the 911 not to mention all of the other models. Ferrari is not much better and then you have Lambo building 7 versions of the Aventador and a sheet metal change to the Perf. At least one mnfr is innovating and moving the peg forward.

540C doesn't exist in the US and I don't take it personal. I am just pointing out facts vs. BS.

Not sure why people say that about Macs either. As you mention, Porsche comes out with so many different models and no one pokes fun of it. I dont get it.

Think it's a bit unfair to claim the 488 and the F8 at the same time. The F8 is replacing the 488.

That being said, I'd be very interested in what McLaren has for a GT car. The proportions on what they've shown thus far looks very good.

It's a bit sad how they hold value though. A local McLaren/Aston Martin dealer has a 2015 650S Spider for 170k with an MSRP of 355K. If 720S/upcoming GT prices look like that around 2021/2022 or so then I'm just gonna start saving my pennies now.

Then I need to remove the GT from the Mclaren list as well because its not yet available just like the F8.

And Porsche also uses the exact same chassis and body for all their 97 different models. Oh, it has a wing...it's now a different model! Black side skirts? Different model, of course. No wing? You guessed it, different model!

From my point of view the fact that Porsche makes so many models doesn't take away from the experience - they just have a flavor for everyone. All good. Mclaren is still getting beat up for the move from 12c to 650 so soon and the associated depreciation that ensued but they have done a much better job of late. If you look at the depreciation curve of a 720 for example compared to a 488 they are not that far off. The LT models will do better but McLaren will build you a car if you want one unlike Ferrari and Porsche (GT models). I don't see a problem with this. I just won't get the bashing of one brand over another, they all of their pros and cons.

Now I am about to jump in my 720 to go look at a GT3 manual. .
