Morning Afshin

If I am able to wash/wax my baby Saturday, I may pop over to Starbucks on Sunday after the Monaco race.

Anyone from eastern MA traveling to the Grand Am race Monday at Lime Rock?

Bill

Hi Bill,

Maybe I'll see you there if it doesn't rain. I'm also completing a full detail on my new to me 928 and I hope to have the interior and most of the exterior done.

Next will be the wheel wells followed by the engine.

I MAY be, haven't confirmed the schedule. I was hoping for a noon arrival (race 2pm, correct?). It's usually about 2.5-3 hours for me from northern RI to Lime Rock from memory...

Hi Fred

the KONI race begins at 0945 and the Skip Barber at 1245.

the Rolex GT race is indeed at 1400 with 2.75 hours time limit, no DP cars this year.

Ugh. You would tell me Koni's running too. I love the more street-series vs. DP's, etc. I wish they did more coverage of the GT class. Personally I don't care how many people Memo Rojas took out of contention while he was on probation (well I do, to a degree...), but I do care how Wolf, Dominick, Dirk, Nick H., & all are doing.

I was hoping the Speedsource team would do well, getting back in the saddle after Nick's "hey-take-me-out-of-the-series-mr-dp-car" last season. The Pontiac guys seem to be doing VERY well this year, not just the Banner guys either.

Is it me, or does Porsche seem to be falling backwards a little with competition in the non-LMP2 ALMS categories over the past 18 months or so? Plenty of 2nd / 3rd, etc., with the exception of Randy Pobst in World Challenge, seems like they come up short more often than not in the 911 chassis nowadays between Rolex & ALMS.

Afshin

I didnt make the Starbucks thing - Sunday was super hectic and I wound up with no time after watching the Monaco race. on the other hand, I had a very enjoyable day at LimeRock with my son, although the dominance of the Pontiacs was disappointing. the drive over through the Berkshires was quite nice and the drive from Lime Rock south toward 84 even better that afternoon.

Bump!

I found this thread and it sounded great, especially since I'm new to the area. Are these still happening on every Sunday or just when it is announced on Rennlist?

I'd love to come to one of these gtg's. I'm busy for the next two Sundays, but I'll keep my eyes on this thread.
