1999 Porsche 911 Carrera (996) – Early Production (03/98) – 106K Miles – Clean & Unmodified

Up for sale is a 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera (996) with 106,000 miles. This is an early production example, manufactured in March 1998, making it a unique and desirable piece for Porsche enthusiasts.

The car is in good overall condition and has been well cared for throughout its life. It remains completely unmodified, preserving the original driving experience Porsche intended. Service records are available, showing consistent maintenance and upkeep.

It runs and drives strong, with excellent handling and performance. The engine and transmission are in good working order, and the car has clearly been maintained with care.

 Highlights:

  • Early production model – manufactured 03/98
  • Manual transmission
  • 106,000 miles
  • Clean, unmodified example
  • Service records available
  • Strong engine and smooth transmission
  • Well-maintained and cared for
  • Classic 911 styling and performance

The exterior presents well for its age, and the interior is clean and in good condition. The PCCM system adds modern connectivity (navigation, Bluetooth, etc.) while maintaining a factory look, and the 997.1 Carrera III wheels give the car a refreshed, sporty stance.

This is a great opportunity to own an increasingly collectible 911 that blends analog driving feel with a few well-chosen updates. The original 17” wheels are not available and they are not included with the sale.

Ideal for an enthusiast seeking a reliable driver or a solid addition to a collection.

 Price: $25,000

Location: Ocean City, Maryland

I’ll have more photos on Friday.

I believe that you need five or more posts to send a private message.

Based on the amount of interest, she will not last.

She is priced to sell 👍

PPI and MSSI have been attached, see photos, from my purchase in May 2025

Achilles Sport tires are from 3720/3920 front and rear, photos uploaded.

Oil changes have been DIY by me, two under current ownership.

Major service, 90,000 completed in 2017, minor service - 15,000 due now - car has 105,000 miles currently.

She is priced accordingly 👍

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

She was my DD, I retired in January 2026 and just not using her, time for a new caretaker 😁

One photo is 5 spoke rims, next photo shows boxster twists. Also two different license plate numbers. What is the current vehicle setup?

Excellent questions 👍

The 18” 997.1 Carrera III wheels give the car a refreshed, sporty stance and are the wheels that come with the car.

The twist wheels are not available.

The first photo is from my purchase last May 2025 before the car was registered, hence the different plate number.

I have a clear Maryland title in my name.

I also have a cold start video and a drive by video shot yesterday for a potential buyer.

Send me a pm with your email if you are interested and would like to see them, files are to large to upload.

Thanks 🙏

Any indication the IMS was replaced ? Were any of the 2025 PPI items completed (other than tires)

Has a borescope been done on vehicle recently ? and/or would you allow a potential buyer to pay for one ?

thx !

Thankfully to the best of my knowledge the car retains its original duel row IMSB, one of the reasons why I bought this particular car.

The 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera (996 generation) uses Lokasil cylinder bore technology, not a traditional plating or coating. The engine block is cast aluminum, with Lokasil (localized silicon) preforms inserted into the mold to create a high-silicon reinforcement only in the cylinder bore area. Again one of the attractive attributes of this particular car, this also played a significant role in my decision to purchase a 1999 model year 😊

No recent scope on this car.

The majority of the items identified in the PPI when I purchased the car in May 2025 were NOT addressed because I did not consider them to be of major concern to me.

Yes I am open to a PPI and/ or scope at the potential buyers expense 👍
