Description:
This 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder was purchased in 2019 by the current owner and is powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. Finished in Agate Gray Metallic over black leather and Alcantara upholstery, the car is equipped with a black bikini-style soft top, 20″ Carrera S alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+), a speed-activated rear spoiler, the Light Design Package, carbon-fiber trim, full bucket seats, a rearview camera, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), navigation, automatic climate control, and cruise control. This 981 Boxster Spyder has 12,500 miles and is now offered in California with a clean Carfax report and a clean California title.
The Spyder features a manually-folding black soft top that stows beneath the double-hump rear clamshell and front and rear styling shared with the contemporary Cayman GT4. This example has SportDesign side mirrors, front and rear styling shared with the contemporary Cayman GT4, and central dual exhaust outlets.
The 20″ Carrera S alloy wheels are mounted with Pirelli P Zero tires measuring 235/35 up front and 265/35 at the rear. Braking is handled by cross-drilled and ventilated carbon-ceramic discs with yellow-painted Porsche-branded calipers. Boxster Spyders were equipped from the factory with a 20mm lower sport suspension than the standard Boxster. An electromechanical steering rack that was shared with the contemporary 911 Turbo was also fitted as standard. A brake fluid flush was performed in March 2022.
The full bucket seats are trimmed in black leather with Alcantara inserts, gray stitching, and Spyder-embroidered headrests. Carbon-fiber trim accents the cabin, and additional appointments include Porsche-branded floor mats, aluminum pedals, automatic climate control, the Light Design Package, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), navigation, and cruise control.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 7,600-rpm redline as well as a 200-mph speedometer and a digital display. An optional Sport Chrono Package added a stopwatch in the center stack.
The rear cargo area covers the mid-mounted 3.8L flat-six, which was shared with the contemporary 991 Carrera S and was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle.
