2022 Porsche GT3 - Early Delivery

You guys all realize that Porsche will make thousands upon thousands of these cars, right? Certainly more than the market will absorb at or above MSRP. They learned with the 997 GT3 that they underestimated demand and that's why they produced 8 times more 991 GT3s than they did of the 997 series. The 992 will have even higher production numbers. Porsche wants to capture all the profits, as they should as a public company. They don't want to leave them to sellers in the secondary market. The GT3 ceased being a limited production car after the 997 series. With the 992, it is now a mass produced car and as such, I predict will be selling below MSRP after production catches up with the current pent up demand. I see nothing wrong with ADM. If you have the money to spend, go for it. Just realize that you're only paying for the privilege of getting a car sooner, and not for getting a limited production car. For those against ADM, just wait until supply catches up with demand, which it certainly will since Porsche will churn out as many units as they can sell. At that point, you can have your 992 GT3 at or below MSRP.

You're missing the point. They keep making more and more of them. You could already get a 991 at MSRP. There will be even more 992s made. You will be able to get one at (or below) msrp. Not this year, probably not in 2022, but by 2023 production will be in full swing and the initial demand spike which we see with all new models will have been met.

The idea that there are going to be lots of GT3’s available at sticker to anyone who wants one is laughable. Wishful thinking at best, and not aligned with past history.

50K ADM? Brotha, please... That's reckless no matter how much you have. I'd rather hold out and pay MSRP and buy a family member a brand new car or a loaded used car for that ridiculous ADM gouge... We all have money on rennlist. Most of us would rather not volunteer that cash to a greedy stranger.
Just because the sales guy can grease you up and pretend to be professional with a smile, it doesn't mean they deserve it.
Imagine going to a restaurant, any restaurant.. McDonalds even. No prices on the menu, just this;
Fountain drink...... Market Price
Fries..................... Market Price $50 due to potato shortage
Burger.................. Market Price $100 due to mad cow disease
Happy Meal......... Market Price $200 due to oil shortage for the plastic toy.. Plus we know your kid wants it and you'll do anything for the child.
They want your trade. They want to low ball you on the trade. They want MSRP. They want ADM on top. They want you to finance instead of cash. They want you to use their financing instead of your pre approval. They want you to buy extended warranty, rust inhibitor, ZAKTEK paint protection. Dent/ding protection. LoJack.... Here, just take it all.

The sad part is even at an MSRP sale (let alone PTS), the profits are HUGE... But no, lets tack on an additional amount of money than can buy you a loaded truck.

This is the same reason why I have not bought my cars from the same dealership twice! I will take my business to dealers who will give me the best price for my trade and the best price for the car I am buying! That being said I have bumped into some good dealers and sales people over time and have to agree that exceptions prove the rule. Most are slimy money hungry d/bags but some good people are out there.

Again, just like the 991? I had a standing offer of sticker on two .1 RS’s for almost a year at the end of their run and got no takers. Both sold for large ADMs and every dealer I talked to said to pound sand.
The idea that there are going to be lots of GT3’s available at sticker to anyone who wants one is laughable. Wishful thinking at best, and not aligned with past history.

past history is that ADMs only last for a limited time and most people who pay that price are too eager or have money that they did not work hard for....
cars will be available at MSRP and or at a small discount once they start getting delivered to the fools who paid ADMs ....once the initial craziness dies down they will be available at MSRP or below with a handful of miles, I am more than happy to jump on one then!!!!!

OTOH, yes. I've met super honest salesmen before... Salesmen who get grilled by the finance scrooge who get mad at them for telling their customer about the actual factory warranty terms... Because that finance scrooge has an outdated pamphlet showing older, lesser warranty. It all comes from the top.

I really don't understand all the butthurt..... it's called Capitalism with a healthy dose of inflation.
Plenty of times i've walked into a dealership and beaten the crap out of them on price because Supply was high and Demand was low. Now it's the opposite.
And what about all you current 991 owners who are selling your cars at over sticker? I don't see anyone unable to live with the guilt over their own personal profit taking.
God Bless America.

and what’s funny, it’s all the Porsche people, like from Rennlist that created this mess, too much money, too much time, everyone buying Porsches like there’s no tomorrow. Dealers across the country have no inventory.
so ya, can’t blame the poor sales guy, he is doing his job, so good for him.
