I’ve bought many vehicles the past fifty years, and never paid list price for any of the, until two weeks ago. That includes my 2021 992 Cab S, my 2021 Cayenne GTS, and 2020 Macan S, all those were under msrp.
So what did I pay full sticker for this month? A Ferrari? A GT3? No, it was a Ford Transit 250 Cargo truck. The only one in the Metro Washington DC region that was this size, and no more were due in the rest of the year. Ironic, isn’t it? They wouldn’t even take $100 off, and why should they? These are not around to buy. This is not unique to Porsche, it’s the times we live in.
Quite simply you pony up, or do without. No whining.

past history is that ADMs only last for a limited time and most people who pay that price are too eager or have money that they did not work hard for....
cars will be available at MSRP and or at a small discount once they start getting delivered to the fools who paid ADMs ....once the initial craziness dies down they will be available at MSRP or below with a handful of miles, I am more than happy to jump on one then!!!!!

I think it’s safe to assume the mark-up will be over 100K - part will go to the selling dealer for the slot and part to AMG.
If anyone has ever been to the Quail, you know it’s really a wonderful event but it’s hard to get tickets. The face value of the ticks used to be around $600 and they had a lottery because more people wanted them then they had tickets available. If you missed the lottery they offered you the chance to buy one for $2,500 where part of the proceeds went to charity. I wanted to go and the charitable part (maybe it was 1/2 the cost) was a nice incentive. The point is, there’s someone out there that has the money and doesn’t care. At least they have the option to call one place, get their order and move on. There’s value for that, no biggie.
I got caught up in the “not paying over MSRP” and sadly missed out at getting a Touring for 10k-$15k over. Now I’m just waiting for a GTS having scratched the GT3 itch to a lesser degree with a GT4.
These cars are wants not needs, you try not to get taking advantage out of principal, make your call and move on.
Last point, I purchased an 86 Carrera and spent around $30K over the course of a year to bring up to factory spec. When I took it to a local cars and coffee event, some guy poured over it and told me the 6 things that weren’t “correct” on it with a stink face as being did. Then I later watched him get into his 12 year-old Chevy Malibu and drive home. I’m not knocking the Malibu, but my point is that there’s a lot of frustrated, unhappy people out there just wearing sadness on their sleeves and can’t wait to transfer their negativity and misery to anyone who will absorb it…

$50,000- $100,000 on Top of MSRP may sound like a lot for “flex-Tax” but
think of all the attention one would get at cars and coffee for months to come , all the likes on FB. All the followers on Insta .... I think we can’t afford Not to pay $50k-$100k

South Florida dealers avg. ADM is $100K and some even $150K over MSRP. And they want $5K to get 'on the list' and the full ADM upfront when the allocation hits your list slot. I find this laughable but it is where we are. I've had some interesting almost hilarious discussions in the last few days with half a dozen dealers down in this neck of the woods. And P.AG remains mute about all this stuff. IMO they love it!
