2008 Cayman S Race Car
Price: $33k
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Originally Built as PCA Class H
Mileage: 16,511
Car is registered for “off track campus fuel runs” but obviously not suitable to be driven on street
Extras: Logbook (till 2012), Complete Set of Brake Calipers. Car has older DL1 video (2 cam) and data that appears to be functioning but I never messed with it. Actually runs on Compact Flash.
$75k+ Build Cost by “Auto Edge” Minneapolis PCA Class H. Full Welded in Cage. Fully serviced, fresh shock rebuild, numeric cables, aligned and ready to race (AER, PCA, etc) or hpde’s. Car is easy transition from street cars. Fun, light, enough power, sounds great and direct and predictable.
Reason Im Selling: Bought the car after our team has wrapped up racing in chump/champ. Month later had first child. [Insert Laugh Here] Dedicated track car not right for me now - getting a gt3 for the occasional drive to HPDE.
Recent Serice:
Gone thru and anything addressed 2019 and 2020
Track Alignment, Brake Bleed, Moton Shocks Rebuilt by Anse
Calipers Rebuilt with Silicon Boots, CV’s Repacked, Rear Spherical Bearings Replaced with Arura
History of Car - as I know it.
Owner 1: Target executive built two cars for father/son.
0-8577 Miles it was a street car.
July 2009 @ 8577 miles it went to Auto Edge MN for build. Had open checkbook build, at track support maintenance with owners. Race History: it appears owners kept at Florida vacation residence and participated in only Sebring/brainard each year. Auto Edge flew down and supported the racers in Florida. 9 events from 2009-2013. Ending mileage of first owner around 14250.
Owner 2: 2013-2018 Two friends bought the sister race cars from father/son team intending to participate in races together. I guess one of them had a divorce situation and this car was never used and sat in storage.
Owner 3: 2018-2019 Took car back to Auto Edge to be nut and bolted and serviced. Ran two DE events and decided they enjoyed their GT3’s better than this.
Owner 4: 2019-2021 Me. Bought car. Had Baby. Rebuilt shocks, New Glass Windshield, installed numerical shifter/cables, Calipers rebuilt, serviced. Have only done probably 5 track days. Want a gt3 for “drive to” track events as im realizing I won’t be doing as many track events/racing for now.
