Description:
This GT3 RS first came on our radar in 2014, when it was purchased from Lamborghini of Long Island by a client of ours with just under 8k miles. It was then sold to a friend of his who runs a Porsche store, and it remained in his ownership until we sold it for him in January of this year with about 13k on the clock.
He installed new tires, inner door sill kick plates, black magnesium lug nuts, and performed a full service. He also added some interior modifications which have since been removed, including Rennline pedal/mat set and the GT2 Sport Bucket seats. The factory seats were put on a shelf and re-installed when we most recently sold it.
The car has seen very minimal track time and has always been garaged. The all original paint s protected with a clearbra on the front end, lower doors, rockers, rear quarters, wing, and rear bumper, and road rash is limited to the common minor pitting on the lower rear quarters which affects 99.5% of the GT3/RS, given that the factory stone guards do not extend all the way to the plastic rockers.
I personally inspected the car in 2017 at about 13k miles and found it to be in fantastic condition.
A PPI was performed in Jan 2020 at Sewickley Porsche including compression and leakdown, and the car passed all with flying colors with only minor things to note:
Slight driver bolster wear
Oxidation on the black lug nuts (likely from acidic wheel cleaner)
Crack in the muffler/mount (has been repaired at GMG)
Front hood struts weak (have since been replaced)
Scratch on the passenger side of the center console
Underside edge of driver's door scraped (has been touched up)
Front plastic lip spoiler scraped
In the notes on the PPI, the tech finished with "Don't think about it - buy it".
A 2-year service was performed and the starter was replaced at the time of sale.
A DME report in 2017 and 2020 both show zero overrevs in all ranges.
The car currently is sitting on 2013/14 date code tires, but other than that is completely up-to-date on service.
The car is stock with the exception of a GMG harness bar and GMG center muffler bypass. A cable has been added in the glovebox for USB/Ipod integration with the factory radio.
The sale includes two keys, books, service records, and the original window sticker.
