Based upon my research and my 14 years owning this 964, here's what I've learned about this exceptional car...
One of the last of the '93's, built in March 1993, VIN '489 is an unexpected rarity.
How so? Not only by being member of a low production year ('93), '489 was made additionally unique (vs. earlier '93's) by the factory's inclusion of upcoming, new '94 911 parts & features into it -- items later associated 'unique' to '94 964's, RSA's, and 993's:
- VIN ID "theft-deterrent" stamps on body panels ('89 964's, and later re-introduced in '94. Ref Porsche Tech Bulletin No. 9301)
- Center latch design glove compartment door ('94 964's, and 993's)
- Smooth frunk interior paint surface (common to '94 964's, and RSA's)
- The VIN sticker in '489's maintenance log book - genuine, having been delivery inspection-stamped by Porsche Bend, Oregon (dealer #2041) - sits secretly covering over another VIN sticker... to a 968! (Seeing's believing, so a photo to this, as well as all the above, have been included.)
Regardless, '489 is not your average 964, or even your average '93 964. It's its own character.
Factory options:
Power throne seats (DS, 8-way; PS, 4-way)
17" cup wheels (option "403" - front hood sticker)
Porsche "CD-2" radio (AM/FM/CD)
Rear window wiper.
Everything works as it should.
I am the 5th owner (documented); having bought in Dec. 2006 with 92,690 miles on the odo, always garaged.
Prior to its VA move (away from San Diego) in '07, this had been an exclusively West Coast car.
No leaks. No rust/bubbles.
A/C has always blown cold
Leather owner's manual package, including all as-delivered manuals/pamphlets.
Receipts for car's life (2"+ thick folder).
Includes copy of original window sticker.
Blackstone engine oil reports, all good (from 2014, '10, '08). Included w/ receipts.
Includes all frunk tools and original (now non-functional) air pump. (Replacement off-brand air pump is included.)
Wheels refurbished (2010), 2 of the original wheels were found to be cracked, so were repaired, and (all) were refurbished by RimGuard Xtreme, Jacksonville, NC. The right, rear was recently refinished (to fix face scratches) to match.
Latest Maintenance:
- Brake/clutch fluid change: January 2020 (20 miles ago)
- Oil + filter change: Dec 2019 (40 miles ago)
- Tune up (valves, plugs, rotors, caps, filters): Aug 2014 (2,800 miles ago)

- RS engine mounts (Porsche)
- Engine carrier reinforcement gusset kit (Rennline)

- Fire extinguisher (H3R HalGuard Halotron 1, 2-1/2 lb.), mountable to rear seat belt pts.
- Alpine 8025/8026 mobile security system (includes remote locking/alarm key fob)
- Custom black carpet inserts w/ red stitched "Carrera 2"

- Extra set (20) of open end, steel lug nuts (Febi/Bilstein, made in Germany)

- CoverKing car cover (tan "Stormproof" type, fitted for Carrera tail)
- Colgan custom rear service cover (covers bumper & fender panels during engine maint.)

- 12-pt spline drive tool (fits alternator shaft's end socket)
- Porsche trickle charger (plugs into cigarette lighter socket)

- Porsche 911 Enthusiast's Companion, Carrera 2, 4 and Turbo 1989-1994, A. Streather
- Porsche Carrera 964, 1989-1994, Technical Data Without Guesswork, Bentley Publishers
- Porsche 911 Performance Handbook, B. Anderson
- H3R billet-type fire extinguisher mount (unused; for H3R extinguisher, above)
- Framed simulated-reproduction of car's original window sticker
- 2 accidents in this car's life (both before I bought; CarFax only shows the first.) No bag deployments in either. The first ['03] was a rear bumper hit (replaced both bumper energy absorbers), the second [10/'06] a rear driver's side quarter panel was clipped & fixed, with the left bumper section replaced. No structural damage associated with either incident, only cosmetic, and properly repaired.

...And that Ladies and Gentlemen is how you list a car for sale.. Good luck with the sale Sir.
Great example fully disclosed. Option 403 and the reintroduction of VIN stickers is very unique. As my ‘89.5 still retains all her stickers where they’re supposed to be.
Love to see when these are taken care of. “We are not alone”
Someone will be very happy plus all the extra goodies.. Well Done!

Then maybe you should market yours on BAT.
Focus on marketing yours. Not what others were able to market and sell theirs for.
You may think the car is a snowflake but end of day year, condition, paint, engine history, damage history, miles are all that really matter.
