Description:

Hi folks, I'm looking for a 981 Cayman GTS with an unusual options combination. The car must have PDK, PTV, and the X73 suspension. Color isn't critical, nor is mileage at the right price. The closer to Chicagoland, the better, although distance is also not critical.

hope to hear from you!

Bump. Still looking, folks. If you have one of these, and would like to sell it before Spring, this may be your chance....

I’ve looked at that one. But, the vin doesn’t show up in vin analytics, so I haven’t been able to verify equipment. Plus, it just seems odd. I should probably just contact the dealership.

Thanks! It does have the equipment I’m looking for.

I’ll see what they say.

Another bump for this week. Still looking. This is your chance to sell your GTS before Spring comes, when you buy your next Porsche!

Are you set on the 981? I have a 718 Cayman S with PDK, PTV, PASM, Chrono. It will smoke a 981 GTS. I know, my buddy had one in manual.

I initially was set on a 981 until I drove the 718.

LMK if interested or want to chat more. It’s posted on here.

Free bump ! Most of the 981 cars I have seen for sale will have PDK, PTV (Option 220), PASM, Chrono. I bought one off of Rennlist a few months back, and I have 2 pals locally that have recently purchased 981 cars.

I haven't driven a 718 GTS, but I can imagine it's awesome...but for me personally, I just can't wrap my arms around a 4 Cly turbo motor. These cars may kick my butt on the track....I can live with that if need be.

I sold a 2004 GT3 to finance the 918, and at that point, I hadn't even driven one. I don't regret it for a moment, especially with my foot to the floor in the Sport + mode....needs to be experienced to be believed.

Hi back,

Your Car is beautiful! I’m sure it is faster, but a 981 will be fast enough for me, and I am looking for a 981 primarily due to SCCA classing.

I wish you luck with your sale!

it seems like you can easily find cars with two of the three options I want 9PDK, PTV, X73, but it’s much less common to have all three. Still, I’ve found several so far, just not the right condition, or the right price.
