Description:
Mostly original 1981 Porsche 928. 4.5L V8 with auto transmission (M28-16 8115143 on the block). 2nd owner. Passes CA smog. Runs well, has been used as a daily-driver for the last 2 years.
This car was purchased from the original owner in Maryland in 2008 with 98k miles on the odometer. The car was moved to CA in 2017. A new coat of paint was applied in 2008 and it is the same color as the original coat. I've replaced many parts over the last several years including the radiator and various suspension components. The previous owner had deleted the cat so I installed a magnaflow cat when I moved the car to CA. The engine was rebuilt (new bearings, seals, water pump, timing belt, and other wear items) in 2017 at 132k miles and the cylinder bores were in great shape when the engine was apart. Transmission fluid was changed at 138k miles and the old fluid was free of metal. Brake fluid and diff oil have also been changed recently. Engine oil has been changed every 5k miles since 98k miles.
AC and cruise control do not work. The driver seat has a tear on the left side but the other seats are in good shape. The clear coat is starting to flake on the roof and the driverside fender and there is a small dent on the driver-side door in front of the sideview mirror.
