Default When will 2018 models be available?

Models keep coming out earlier and earlier. I am looking to place an order but wonder if it is a mistake (regarding resale value) to get a 2017 when 2018's may be right around the corner.

Thoughts anyone?

2018 TTS`s will not be allocated till ..aprox....May 2017...to order..& 90 days to delivery date.
Have purchased several cars from that dealer,& traded in....early on.....low milage, pristine cars.

Thanks, that's helpful. Can we assume there will be price increases? I haven't done research yet to see if the base price of the Macan has creeped since introduction. Time to Google!

Hi,
I am new here and very close to pull the trigger on a Black Macan S.
Some google searches suggest there might be a slight refresh for 2018 Macans?

I would hate to put in my order, get my brand new Macan to see a brand new model announced pretty much at the same time.

Is it just noise maybe?
I am going to ask my dealership also, although I am not sure how solid that would be.

If anyone knows anything

Thanks!

Porsche's factory typically shutsdown in Aug, I would think Sept builds from July allocations would be 2018 model years.

Good to know, I did not know that!
I was more interested in knowing if the 2018 models would be different, as in
design refresh, or maybe or more panamera-esque interior and such.

2018 Macan is unlikely to be different than the recently refreshed 2017. Cayenne will get a redesign before the Macan.

Click here for spy shots that hit the web today.

Since it's only a facelift, I could see this becoming the 2018 model year.

They talk about the rear lights being possibly similar to the Panamera. Do you think they mean an LED strip that literally connects one side to another, or just a strip inside the individual lights? I can't imagine what it would look like with a lens connecting one side to another.

Any thoughts?

I think that there will be some sort of design element connecting the rear lights, yes. The rear camouflage in those pictures covers both taillights and the entire upper area between the lenses. We saw the same kind of masking in the Panamera spy shots over the months prior to its debut. It would make sense in terms of keeping with the design direction Porsche has been moving towards.
