Is a Macan S or even the 4cyl turbo version enough for towing say a aluminum open trailer with a 2300 lb integral type r racecar? My wife's Cayenne S is getting up there in mileage and she wants something smaller. Any issues? Mike

It'll be fine. Guy here tows a vette with his Macan turbo on a feather lite. I'd get the s min.

Just took possession of my Gts last night and was told 5400 pound capacity.I have not read manual to verify yet.

Towing capacity was officially reduced from 5300lbs to 4400lbs some time ago. If you plan to keep the car for a long time, i wouldn't tow at close to that amount of weight due to the PDK transmission and its clutch engagement rather than a torque converter of a traditional automatic transmission.
