My wife's early production 2014 Macan is having its transmission replaced at 30K miles. Known issue or just a one off?

What were the symptoms of your failure? Were there any warning signs or just a sudden array of warning lights and a car that couldn't go anymore?

I had noticed a clicking from the rear of the car. Subseuent to that, my wife got transmission error messages, a car that would require a restart to shift into reverse,and an engine fault warning light. While driving it to service, I noticed the clicking was occurring when downshifting into 6th, 5th, and 3rd. New transmission it is.
