Deletion of Model Designation
#2
Hi,
What's your concern? I have no evidence to back it up but I'd assume it wasn't very common. With that being said, I recently placed an order for a Macan Turbo and chose that option because I just didn't want to broadcast I had that trim.

It's common practice in Europe. If you want badges, just have the dealer add them back on the vehicle. They are only stuck on with double sided tape. Easy to take off with some dental floss.

Lurking on this forum: planning on a Macan as a winter DD.
Designation delete would be listed on the sticker or COA. It's one of a very few $0 options.
I ordered DMD on my 991 because, like 61, I felt no need to broadcast. Folks that know enough will know and those that don't, don't need to know.
Edit: Also, note that with DMD the "Porsche" lettering that remains will be in a lower position on the rear. All badging is centered vertically on the rear. If it's two lines of text, then the center line of the rear runs between the lines. If one line only, the centerline runs through the lettering
So, DMD is not only deletion but also results in a repositioning of the remaining lettering.
This is true for the road cars. Not 100% sure about the trucks, but I see no reason that Porsche would deviate.

IMHO, deleting the Macan S, GTS, Turbo allows you to add just the GTS or Turbo lettering under the PORSCHE block lettering. I did it with my Panamera Turbo and it looks good. Like the GT3 does not have 911 GT3 etc. Looks cleaner.
