General Topics
Exactly as the title says, this thread is for any general topics related to Macan that don't deserve their own thread. Here is mine:
Called the dealer to ask for oil service and pricing. They use 0W-40; Mobil 1 I presume. $400 for oil service. 5 quarts is $26.99 at Walmart x 2. Genuine filter and crush washer another $23. That's less than $80 & a half hour of labor. WTF is the other $250 for? The barista? Or the cute thing they have sitting by the door?
Since this will be in addition to my pre-paid service, I'm doing this myself at the 5000 mile mark between service intervals. I don't want to give the impression that I'm skimping out on service.
So it looks like I'll be stopping by at Walmart by my work. The rest, ill take my wife out to a nice restaurant.

Not sure which engine you have. On my 2015 Cayenne S the O ring seal is a new part no. Filter same as my 2012 997. See my thread on Cayenne post. The washer is not a crush washer but flat Alum. like my 996 and 997.
Takes about 8 quarts not 5.

So, if you take your newly purchased car to a dealer for service/repair other than where you bought it, do you get the sh*t treatment and they give you a Kia as a loaner?

I need to take it into the dealership to have the latest recal done on the AC. Other than that, not much happening.
I'm considering an exhaust upgrade and lower with some H&R springs. Nothing to radical but I don't have PASM or AS so it rides quite high. It's mainly a city DD and the odd run up to Whistler so I don't need the monster truck gap in the wheels and I think lowered it would corner better as well.
Just sayin'...

I've had my Macan Turbo since January and so far only thing to take to dealer for was software upgrades. No warranty items. Same thing with Wife's Audi S5. Had one year today and goes for annual service tomorrow with nothing else needed looking at.

I did have the dreaded parking sensor falling in issue with 2 sensors. It was a nuisance and I was asking the service rep: "Parking sensors? REALLY?!!!" Anyway, it's fixed. No biggie.

I'm taking mine to my dealer next week:
-I have a light rattle around the windshield
-Brakes are squealing (I dont mind on a track car but a DD...)
-Speedo reads 125 kmph when my GPS says 120 kmph (like 3mph over). A little annoying as I'm expecting precision on their OEM wheels/tires...
I'm a little picky...
Other than this, I'm a happy customer so far!
