Yes, she will be letting me drive the Macan as she will get to drive the Panamera as well. BTW, I bought my 911S at a Lexus dealership two years ago ... wait for it ....
Congrats and looks great, just curious, why get rid of the sports car for two larger true 4 person carriers? I would have kept the 911 and gotten the macan.. But both your new toys look great...
Congrats man! I think you will like this car. I, fortunately, was able to keep my .2 Spyder for weekend romps in the local hills and canyons. I have a great balance. The Macan S as a DD transporter and the Spyder for some spirited driving. Enjoy!

Thanks!
That's a good questions - there were several factors -
For starters I am not a mechanic and the older the 997 got, the more uncomfortable I was feeling about keeping the car long term. How I transitioned to the Panamera was due to my experience driving one. 4 years ago while my Boxster was in service for 5 weeks at performance Porsche, they lent me a black Panamera. I fell in love.
The 911 was a bucket list item and after having it for two years I was very content. Our plan is to keep working hard and eventual have a 3 Porsche house hold - goal = Blue 991 Targa lol.
For now I am enjoying the beautiful interior and ability to take a group of people out in the Panny. Not to mention I went through some winding roads hauling *** and turns out the Panamera pwned it. If I was racing on the weekends, maybe losing the 911 would have been devastating but since Its a weekend street car, Panny is working out great.
As for the Macan, its my wife's daily and she needs the space for her gear and coworkers.
Last thought, in my head, we still have two sports cars :P cheers!
