I optioned one for my wife. (i also use it on occasion)

Went with 20" wheels
side blades body color
stainless window trim
full sunroof
A/C seats
No climate control for the rear.
Stereo upgrade. No navi.
park assist
no lane change assist.

Fuel milage is not worth talking about.
The PDK is awesome. More fun then Audi...

Next time around it would be nice to try a little diesel with trailer hitch.

Here is the best advice from a Porsche guy w/MBA & PHD in maxing my money into cars.

Buy it used- you drive it till death? Sounds like you could be happy with anything including a stripper option vehicle so you can't miss. your CPO although by age it is only worth 100k miles/ 3.5 yrs in your case. so I'd find one that is a dealer demo with the warranty punched and take that as the best option you can get for your vehicle.

Default Here you go - $60K

Premium Package Plus and three more options:

Comfort Lighting Package
Smoking Package
Steering Wheel Heating
(3 Zone Climate - I think it is standard now)

PPP includes:

Includes:

Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)
Automatically Dimming Mirrors
ParkAssist (Front and Rear) incl. Reversing Camera
Seat Heating (Front and Rear)
Seat Ventilation (Front)
Electric ventilation of front seats with three levels of adjustment.
Porsche Entry & Drive
Panoramic Roof System

This is what she will be happy with.

Or Q5 2.0T Premium with Tech - $47K and that will save you ~$13K.

I doubt you need steering wheel heating at least for me. I like the comfort lighting but if you are looking at dollars you could leave it.. I really do like it on the cayenne. Haven't seen it on the Macan.

Smoking pkg is nice bc it keeps it from being just open tray.

PPP= get it. I like all those options.

Nice suggestions here.

I thought I'd recommend a SQ5 as an option. I really liked the way it drove/ interior.

Also remember that PPP comes with 14-way seats and for an extra $300, you can get the 18-way seats which IMO look much much better. That's only $300 for the whole car's interior!

I'm looking at a similar build. Why the air suspension? Have you looked at benefits. Have not seen one at dealers with the option so not sure what to expect.

18-way seats are a tighter fit that may not work for some body types, they are also harder to get out of because of the increased bolster. Try before you buy.

I just wanted to say this is true vs the Cayenne seat. Even in my best physical condition I sit on top of the bolsters.. Have a Macan Turbo loaner right now for a comparison.

Rather than building I bought one from dealer stock. Jet black with premium plus and infotainment package. Heated steering wheel, fancy 20 inch wheels, and a trailer hitch. I think I leaving something off. Stickered at about 67,000 and got 3,000 off. Was at the dealership 90 minutes start to finish.

First thought on drive home was after having a BMW and Audi whats up with all the buttons? Sweet baby Jesus is Porsche button happy. My wife will never figure all those out.

And did anyone get the tire/wheel warranty?

And the price of an extended warranty to 100K miles was $6800?

I think that nav should be built in. If you have to use phone or personal nav device, you will one day forget to take it down and someone will bash your window to take it. Even if that doesn't happen, you will want to remove it each time you park the car. And it looks rather tacky to have a device stuck to your windshield and wires hanging down to your lighter plug in a $50k+ car. As for Macan vs Q5, it's a tough choice, especially if you go for the SQ5 version. Having driven a Macan on winding back roads, however, if performance is important, I'd easily go for the Macan.

One reason I picked the macan is the q5 is due for a redesign in 2017. So her car would look old after 1 year. She did not care, but it was something that bothered me. I know its petty.

As far as Nav, even with the Nav installed she is going to use her Garmin on the windshield, put up a bunch of velcro pieces on the dash and windshield to hold her easy pass and her nav. And she is going to spill coffee every where. Oh, well.

I did not get the Nav
Waste of $$ IMHO...

-I have it in my other vehicles and never use it. WAZE or Google maps are much better, with traffic infos and cops infos...

-You can always get it installed after the fact. My PCM unit have the NAVI button and the MAP button but they just dont do anything. You can load a CD and get it installed after the fact as far as I know.

What happens to the center screen on the dash when you don't order navigation. I agree navigation on any car is a waist. I use my phone and Google maps.

It is the same PCM unit/hardware, same buttons, same everything

The only difference is whe I push on the NAVI button, I get a message that says "option not installed" or something similar.
