The black round tailpipes are actually from the Sport Exhaust option.

Yes, you're correct. I've amended my post. Still, it is interesting that some of the visual cues for Turbos disappear with these not-inexpensive options.

Wow, very nice. Is that SD "In Black"? I see the black gloss diffuser, but it appears the front grille and surrounds are still matte black (or "Lava Black" as I believe they call it)?

The MSRP on that baby must be immense! Awesome.

Indeed. I do prefer the Sport Design and PSE look, though.

Very awesome! Unless I'm missing it, how'd the rear diffuser come in gloss black (appears you have straight SD Package)?

Ohh, interesting. Upon closer inspection; it appears that somehow your car has the standard diffuser and not the SportDesign diffuser, and while the SD diffuser comes color coded (unless you get "SD Package In Black"), they seemed to have left the standard one black (thought it was gloss, but might be matte?) I'm gonna guess that it has to do with the towing package which might not be available in SD?

Interesting stuff. Either way, looks amazing.

Not sure. Just how it came from the factory. They might have screwed up.

Essentially you have on of the "Sport Design Package with Side Skirts" since side skirts are standard on the Turbo. The basic "Sport Design Package without Side Skirts" on the S model requires that "Running Boards" are chosen as an additional option. I don't think a mistake has been made.

I thought a Macan had a towing capacity of closer to 6.5-7k lbs?

According to the website the maximum braked trailer weight for both the S and Turbo is 5,219 pounds.

This has been the subject of concern for some time now...
See this thread.

It would be nice if Porsche/PCNA would put out a definitive statement on what it actually is. The manuals, several online (Porsche) docs have conflicting values for the tow rating.

Where are the LED's on the non sport design cars? I can see where they are on the sport design models, but not the other.

Selecting a Sport Design package on the online configurator results in the message "Data error, configuration is not possible." -- are others here having this problem?

I'm wondering what the SportDesign package in black (hi-gloss) without side skirts looks like with different paint colors. Sadly, a deep forest green or a handsome burgundy haven't yet found their way onto the Macan color palette yet, so at the moment our leading contenders are either Black or Impulse Red Metallic. If the vehicle is all black, I wonder if the SportDesign front fascia would be a negligible improvement. In other body colors, doing something to tone down the contrasting black intake louvres might be a huge improvement.

Anyway, according to the brochure, SD package in black gloss sans skirts corresponds to Order # 2D6. Anyone have pics of a Macan S in this config they could share? Thanks!

Yeah, to me, the added painted bits on the SportDesign Macan, as it tones down the heavy black matte plastic and contrast (and imo leaves a much more balanced and right contrast), is paramount.

Here is a car with "SD In Black". Hard to tell from the pics, but you can see the gloss black elements.
