Just starting to shop - could someone with one of the newer models describe how to turn off lane departure and similar annoyances? Is it fairly simple? Do you need to do it every time you start the vechicle?

if you do not need it, why to even buy that option?

most features on current macan are controlled by buttons on the middle console. once pressed, it keeps the value.

i do not have an active lane feature that steers the car, but have feature that suposed to see lane and inform, but never use it, as it is useless.

if you just started shopping - that info below may help - it is a very common way how dealers spec out cars, i think. a lot of them show up with a similar lists of options.
a useless LCA just comes as a part of a very useful premium package.

You can toggle lane departure, lane change assist, and speed limit (in the US) directly through the menus and your choices are retained between drives. Other safety features are always on, although you can decrease the threshold settings for some of them, at least.

They won't sell a new Macan without that garbage, with the exception of LCA. I just locked in an order for my wife without LCA, but you still get stuck with auto-brake, auto-off, and a cruise control that won't work properly.

I would gladly pay extra to buy a car that had none of that crap.

do you have a printout of the list of actual option codes similar to what i posted?

very interesting why they do that and how it is enforceable. did they put it into the package by default? so odd.
i do not have any auto-nothings in my 2024, thank god. it would be extra special annoying.

No. There are no option codes associated with them. They are all "standard features" on the current model, and yes, they are incredibly annoying.

@utkinpol Porsche configurator is your friend for the option codes. You can see what features are available as standalone to choose or not, and what are bundled into packages. The big one for Macan is that the Premium Package Plus (in the US) adds a lot of niceties for the cost but forces you into the panoramic sunroof and lane change assist.

With the standard "no options chosen" build, you can scroll to the bottom and see codes for all the standard features.

I just bought a new RDX A Spec and I can't stand all this crap. I love to use cruise control on long trips and it's basically unusable.
