Have a 2021 Turbo with 11k miles (purchased a few months ago), overall great car with no issues. Recently replaced the original battery (it was time), fully charged it, and used iCarSoft to register the new battery. I now have the "Steering Support Limited" dash message, with iCarSoft listing 3 faults:
C10AD29 - power steering control unit faulty B2000049 - power steering control unit faulty C10ACF0 - steering end stops not learned
Have tried the steering wheel spin side to side with many variations, but no change.
Car still drives/steers fine, so lots of reading about potential rack replacement (or control board fix), but thinking it would be worth trying to clear the codes first.
iCarSoft sensor/teach calibration does not clear the codes.
Would PIWIS clear the codes?
Is there a separate way to test the rack module?

Also make sure you battery is fully charged and go on a drive... sometime the steering message is due to low battery because they are electric power steering and need to see a certain voltage holding well. It worth it eliminateing that detail since it simple, then searching for the next if that is not the issue.

yes, good suggestion, but I forgot to include in the original post that the battery was fully charged after replacement. I updated the original post too.
More....I also tried a friend's PIWIS II, but the software is too old for Macan. I noticed in the iCarSoft too that it says the steering wheel teaching/learning/calibration can only happen once all other steering codes are clear, so that is why the iCarSoft steering teaching/learning/calibration doesn't work (with the other steering module faults), so could also be why the wheel turning attempts don't work either. The question is starting to become if there is a real steering module issue or it's just codes that need to be cleared for the module. So, thinking a newer PIWIS/dealer at this point to clear the codes (or another scanner tool). Any other suggestions are welcome.
There is probably nothing wrong with steering motor or sensors. The codes just need to cleared and the steering recalibrated. Find someone with a PIWIS 4.

Thanks, that's my hope too, I'm thinking of buying/building my own PIWIS, or will find someone.
PIWIS3 should do for a 2021. Select all modules and clear all codes

Suggestion if I wanted to obtain my own PIWIS? Lots to choose from online, hard to tell good/bad, have a 958 and 996 too. Long term would be good to have PIWIS longer term. Thanks.
