I'm looking at potentially buying a 2019 S. It has had all its service done at a P dealer, except one. The 40k service. It looks like it was skipped. I've gone over all the records and the dealer that has it has done the 40k service; minus the pdk service. Other than that its up to date.
My question is, would that extra 10k miles on the pdk be a deal breaker for anyone? I'd do it as soon as I got it, but to me, not having that done at 40k is worrisome.
Hopefully I'll be in one soon!!
Thanks, Mike

It would not bother me one bit. 10k miles is nothing. The service is just an oil and filter change. Pelican Parts recommends doing it at 60k rather than 40k.
Well thats good to hear. You just hear horror stories about "missing service". Other than that one service, its all up on its service.

10k is only 25% late. That is like doing engine oil at 12500 miles vs 10000. It's nothing, especially the first time.
Fear mongering is all the rage on the interwebs.

We have a 19S with 100K+ miles. All factory recommended maintenance done on time. We have had zero issues with the vehicle. I would negotiate the cost of the service into the purchase price. Maybe the seller pays for it as part of a pre-purchase inspection. Of all the services, the PDK is the one I would want to ensure is done on time.

They've adjusted the price because it hasn't been done. It's a good deal, not an amazing deal. But it's got a lot of good options (psam, sport seats, sports chrono, premium package). Has one minor accident on its history (cosmetic, not structural). The thing that had me pause was the pdk service not being done. Originally Posted by Pavegeno928

You might ask if instead of the markdown, they will pay half for the PDK service with a walk-away agreement if it doesnt come back spotless. In the southern Alabama/NW Florida, our dealers charge between $800-1100 for the service. The dealer would likely include a full pre-purchase inspection as well. Good luck!Originally Posted by michaelmoo22

PDK adaptation needs to be done if fluid and filters are changed. Also VTG value needs to be checked on transfer case. See my note:

Wow TOWMBO now owes me close to 3 grand... 1 grand for spark plugs, another for the PDK stuff and then oil and filter change with winter tire swap out, cabin filter... but you know you're getting old when you'll settle for pancakes (the original Aunt...no buttermilk stuff) on Sunday. Insane prices, don't know how folks pay that.Originally Posted by Pavegeno928

I would certainly get it done right away if you purchase. I did mine with a QuickJack a couple weeks ago and the fluid did not look too bad coming out but when I poured it into milk jugs it was certainly very dark. I did both filters with full pan removal, and I swear the car feels a little smoother and the mileage on the first tank was the best it has been in well over a year. My car only had 42,000 on it.
Just an update. I did get the Macan S! Its a great car. I also immediately did the PDK service. While I have all the service records, like I stated, the PDK service wasn't anywhere to be found. Everything else (even the transfer case) service wise was up to date. But back to the PDK service. I did the service (full service with BOTH filters) and the fluid that came out looked brand new, just like the fluid that went it. I suspect that it was done at 40k miles and somehow not recorded (which I can't believe, but the fluid looked amazing). But better safe than sorry.
