Hi All,
Recently got a 2015 Macan and noticed the sunroof shade is not working. Yes I should have tested it but missed it. Its currently stuck fully open and I would prefer it closed. I thought I could get to the motor somehow and jumper it closed but the wiring diagram shows 'Sunblind Diagnosis' module located center front. Checked the fuses 11 and 9 and both ok but no noise from the blind. Has anyone played with this or have pics? The buttons on the upper console are one big piece so not sure how to test individual button. Appreciate any help.
Thanks.

Have you shown this to the dealer? Have you used one in another Macan before?
Purchased from independent dealer and they could not fix it but they really did not try either after the sale. Function is straight forward so not sure what you mean by "Have you used one in another Macan before?"
Sunroof moves as expected so just the shade is stuck fully open. Electrical diagram lists both blind motor and sunroof motor in 'center front of roof'.
Not looking forward to dropping the headliner so maybe pickup another upper console.
Are both motors right behind the upper console?
Does the sun shade has a manual crank like the sunroof?
Your best bet is to go onto a website of one of the large Porsche parts dealers. Like Suncoast Porsche and go through their catalog and look up a replacement motor. There will be diagrams that tell you where it is.
Looking at the pictures in this link... https://www.redlineautoparts.com/por...w-motor-pm002/
...there is a motor in the front and another in the rear. My guess is that the shade motor is in the rear. You should be able to verify this by listening at both the front and the rear for motor noise while operating the roof.
One thing I would try if you haven't already is open and close the roof several times, trying the shade operation each time the roof is closed again. There is probably a limit switch that won't let the shade operate until the roof is fully closed and it's possible that it's not making full contact or is "sticking".
I would also pull those two fuses and re-insert them a couple of times as well as swap them just to rule out any possible corrosion there.
Appreciate the replies.
I did read somewhere the blind will not close unless the sunroof is triggered as closed but sunroof seems to work correctly. Did try cycling several times but still no noises from the blind motor. Car parks outside so will have to wait before considering taking the headliner down.
Meanwhile will try to figure out the wiring if there is anyway to directly test the motor/switches.
I use VCDS on my Audi/VW cars all the time.
Have been trying to figure out which PIWI-3 6154 interface to order then can get into the diagnostics.
Thanks.
Sunblind motor is located at rear of sunroof part#95B959591A - not in front as stated in factory wiring schematics.
From ebay listing the sunblind motor connector looks like this
1 (LIN) - computer data lines
8 (DIAG) - coding
9 (TERM31) - Gnd
10 (TERM30) - +12v, Fuse 11
Don't see an easy way to test by simply applying power

Hello, I have a 2018 Macan GTS and the exact same issue since yesterday. Is the fuse box the one in the right of the trunk ? I will check that first but I hear my shade motor click when i press the button so I doubt it is the fuse.
Did you find the issue ? Thank you.
They fixed my stuck sunshade yesterday, and do you know how they fixed it ? You won't guess. They banged on it with a hammer as it was stuck, that fixed it. Cost $360.
They also changed my PDK oil for $975.
