Default Pedal Commander

Happened to see someone selling one of these, and had never heard of it before. I must admit I feel like when I going from a dead stop that it can be a bit of a delay and not the power I am use to in vehicles without the newer technology.

Just wanted to see who had these, your thoughts, and worth the money?

In my humble opinion, I would get a piggyback tuner box instead. Why just increase throttle response when you can get that as well as more horsepower.

That's pretty much the route I went. I first bought the Pedal Commander, then a piggyback tuner, then got rid of the Pedal Commander when I realized I could just push the pedal more and get the same effect.

All it's doing is front loading the signal to the beginning of the pedal travel rather than the end. For me, that was a negative because it was too sensitive for smooth driving with passengers (and annoying to keep turning off and on) and it made the latter end of the pedal dead once it reached full input earlier than the OE settings.

It was definitely fun to play with for a few months though. If you tend to have a light foot, then this will make the car feel way faster but once you retune your pedal force, then it's the same with or without.

Thanks for the responses!!

Is piggyback tuner an actual product? Sorry, just read and haven't researched yet. Do you mind sharing what you each use if it isn't a product? is it an easy plug and play?

Had one. Had to remove it after it started giving throttle errors and sending the vehicle into limp mode.

Very easy plug and play.

These folks sell a good unit for the Base. I have it. https://burgertuning.com/collections/volkswagen-audi

These folks do most of the engines. https://www.racechip.us/chip-tuning/porsche.html

I can't speak to how this will feel on the base engine, but I have one on my 2.9L and it is a total game changer. Highly recommend.

Ok, so you have the 3L 6cyl. I would put my money on a pedal Commander making a huge difference in your throttle response. It's a 10 minute install and you can turn it off from your phone anytime you take it to the dealer if that is a concern.

Thanks!! I just saw a video from Flat6 where someone else with a 21 S said they hated the lag, and that was what they recommended.

I actually went this route. It is indeed 30 minutes or less. I ordered mine through InnovativeSoft. They preprogrammed it for my VIN.

I did too, one of my favorite mods for it's ease and flawless, OE plug and play experience.
