Have 52k miles. Rear camera is now intermittent.

Three issues
- Doesn't come on when I go in review 100% of time. Is intermittent.
- if it does come on in reverse, when I shift out of reverse, the camera doesn't go off
- I have the diamond button programmed to have surround come on. It doesn't work.

Any suggestions? Is this a fuse issue?

 

Sounds like a software problem. Disconnect the negative terminal on the car battery for 15 minutes to reset everything.

If that doesn't do it you might have a bad shift selector sensor.

Ok, but I do not think an independent would have the latest and greatest version of the software.

 

If your livelihood depended on being on top of your game, you would find a way to have the latest hot stuff. Trust me.

 

Sorry, that is not how it works. This stuff is under copyright. That type of "livelihood" can land someone in a bit of trouble. Indies will not have the latest upgrades of Porsche software.

 

Being on top of your game means legally, too.

 

So how are these Indies procuring legal licensing rights to Porsche factory software upgrades? What kind of fees are they paying? Who are they in contact with at Porsche Corp? What division? Why would Porsche AG and Porsche USA allow Indies to take proprietary business away from Porsche dealers?

And please post some names and contact information of these Indies so everyone here can utilize their services if needed.

 

You need to contact the Independents found here or very many more on the Facebook Macan Owners Club and ask them, as that is their business.
