I’ve had the Macan for about 2 weeks and about 800 miles already. Today was a perfect day to finally get the vehicle cleaned and inspected for everything. Started out with a thorough wash and then clay barred it and finished with a coat of Nexgen ceramic spray. I can now just enjoy it and drive it as all the little things are done. The radar detector was installed and the Proclip has all the wires hidden for the phone. I also installed a carbon fiber piece to replace the piano black piece in front of the passenger. Now I can just do Mods as I feel like it. A couple I might consider are a throttle commander to improve the jerkiness in 1st, 2nd & 3rd, powder coat wheels black, and black out rear emblems. Here are some pictures finally.
I am really surprised that this little 2.0 does everything I usually want, but I do miss the growl and torque that my Cayenne S gave me. I just won’t win any 0-60 stop light races anymore. 😎
What radar detector did u do with?
Windshield mount?…..into cig lighter?…how do u hide the wires?
thx
Escort Max 360 with a Blendmount mirror mount hardwired into fuse box. There are plenty of posts on hardwiring and hiding the wires for dash cams and RD’s.
Looks good! A tune will give you everything you need in terms of power and certainly low end torque.
it’s not so much the tune I want it is a little less touchiness on the throttle. This is my first experience with a PDK and it seems from initial impressions that pedal pressure goes from either crawl to launch. There seems to be a small sweet spot that allows “a more normal” acceleration. I am learning how to achieve this, but eventually my wife will be driving this and I know she won’t like that kind of pedal feel. Overall the PDK is a fantastic transmission, just different than I’m used to. Every sports car I’ve ever owned had 3 pedals and this feels so much like a sports car…….which is good!
Looking good, nice color.
Adding a Burger Motorsports JB1 piggyback tuning module will reduce your 0-60MPH times from 6.2 secs to 5.5 secs, easy installation and removal (if needed).

You said you missed the torque from your Cayenne, which why the tune was brought up, it's an easy fix.
You can tune out the throttle sensitivity with a pedal commander but most get it to go the other way, first time hearing of the throttle being too touchy.
Also, I see you have 18" wheels. The OE tire diameter on the 18" wheels is the smallest of the bunch, at 29.1 and 29" for the front and rear, respectively. If you go with 20" wheels and OE tire combos, you are getting the larger 29.4" and 29.3" diameters, which lower (numerically) your effective gear ratio and may help to reduce a touchy throttle.
I know this better than most as I have swapped with a few sizes recently on two sets of wheels and settled on a smaller non-OE size for my 20" set that is the same as the slightly smaller 18" wheel diameter.
I prefer the more responsive throttle due to the higher effective gear ratio from the smaller tires. Just a thought.
