Default Customize build element beyond configurator?

I've got a Macan GTS figured out and allocated...sounds finicky but I really do not want the "GTS" sewn into the headrest. I just want plain black, just like you can get on a Macan base or Macan S. I see do not option to "delete" these in markings a GTS. My SA sort of shrugs his shoulders and said he didn't see a way to do this in the configurator. Well I also do not want to pay 105k for a GTS and then first thing go source and install aftermarket replacements for these items. Are things really that set in stone?

Porsche Exclusive also offers so called CXX options (Sonderwunsch), but they normally have a minimal amount requirement in the 5 figures. Maybe a bit too much to just reduce the GTS stitching.
Otherwise, it may be set in stone, unless your dealer allows you to exchange the seats with a lower-spec Macan's seats.

Though, in my opinion, I would not care too much about it. The GTS is behind your head when you sit in the car and drive. So most of the time, you will not see it.

As an example, I normally don't spec the Porsche crest embossing on my headrests since I don't care for it. But recently we bought a CPO Macan that had it spec'ed. Since I only see it for a few seconds before I enter my car, I don't really get upset at it either.

And if you really still get bothered by it, I am sure there are some covers available aftermarket to hide it. Advantage of that approach: It preserves the stitching for resale.

Least expensive option is to just order Base/S plain headrests and install them after taking delivery of the car. Seats are the same.

Maybe order the Porsche crest headrests so when you remove them you have a wide market to sell them to (Base/T/S/GTS/Turbo) vs. the GTS headrests.

Why don't you want GTS in the headrests? It's a nice touch and has zero downsides.

Though the suggestion above to get Porsche crests and then trade with someone with plain crests might be the cheapest way to get what you want. Looking at suncoast those Porsche crest headrests are $1200 just for the front but the configurator is less than half that for all four.

If you don't want GTS on your headrest, order them with crest then trade + cash with plain headrests from other owners.
As headrest with crest is pretty expensive to buy unless you built in with order, I'm sure you will be able to sell it easily.

That is what seat covers are for, individual needs.

+1

$1,000 for two from Gaudin Porsche Parts.

OP, if you're going black interior, I might be interested in crested headrests if you go that route (mine are plain black on 14-way sport seats).

Order the embossed crests as others mentioned. Then you can just swap them with someone with plain headrests. Or you may come to find them to be unnoticeable and just leave it alone.
