Staggered vs square set up

Are most of you maintaining the stock staggered set up? Is there any downside to switching to a square set up? I don’t track or race my Macan, but I get aggressive when it’s necessary. Thx

I run staggered for both summer and winter wheels + tires setup. The downside would be a handling imbalance relative to the Porsche factory spec so not sure why anyone would do this aside from wanting to save money on a winter package.

The default torque split favors the rear, so having wider tires back there makes sense to me. My 2006 BMW E46 330 convertible also had a staggered setup, so there's nothing particularly unusual about this. What's the question behind the question?

I have wondered about this setup myself. The question behind the question: I had a 50K warranty on my Vred Quattrac Pros, square mounted on my Q5. Now the same make of tires only have a 25K warranty because I can no longer rotate them front to back. In the past, Vredestein was very good about prorating their tires. I no longer have that capability and I will be out a few bucks a year and a half or so from now, when it is time for new tires.
