Just take it to an independent but verify they can reset the service reminder first. It’s cheaper and you have the receipt from a professional service, if there is a warranty claim. I plan to do the same while I’m under warranty.

My indy did 20k for less than $500 if I recall. I changed the cabin filter. Indy reset the service indicator

Dealers are forced to spend big dollars to have these fancy showrooms and service departments...somebody gotta pay for that.
Take your Rolls or Bentley for dealer service and see what that costs !

New car dealerships strive to cover 100% of the fixed and operating expenses, as well as all salaries / wages through the revenues made in the service department. Referred to as 100% Service Absorption Rate.

Porsche takes pride in having the highest gross profit margins on their cars and I'm sure that same attitude carries through in the service department.
