Default No INFO Button on 2018 Macan. So no Reboot Instructions

My screen is going crazy and I want to reboot it. I removed the fuses in the rear E3 and E4 as per another thread. However, now I want to reboot the PCM in this 2018 and the radio in Macon does not have an info button. I’ve tried multiple buttons holding it for 10 seconds. I have no idea how to get it to reboot so I can get into factory settings to reset it.

Does anyone have any idea?

Try pressing with two fingers near the upper-right corner of the screen for 10-20 seconds.

Hold the volume **** in for approximately 10-15 seconds and then release. The PCM should then reboot. This is what I do on my 2018 S whenever CarPlay isn’t recognized.

tried both of those ideas. I did get the Porsche log up a few times with all my other attempts for everything possible but no more. However, the radio does come on and play even though the screens dead, but then the radio shuts off after about 10 or 15 seconds. Still looking for a solution and call the dealer. They don’t know either. Do you think that taking out the fuse would work, so I remove and put back in the E3. An E4 fuse, as I was told that would reset it.

Have you tried using the spare key? I read someone had a similar problem and spare key caused it to work. Does nothing show on the screen when you put it in reverse either? You could have a dead display. You might want to ask simaservis from the Macan forum since he’s helped fix other peoples PCMs. Might be a few involved if it needs an update/ factory reset.

The Porsche GTS screen image on the radio sometimes shows a partial image and other times it turns off and turns on, and the full image is there. But what I have noticed and just realized is that the screen on the gauges shows navigation loading. It can’t get past navigation loading so I think it’s getting stuck there. Anyone know the fuse to pole and plug back in or where the navigation system is so I can pull power from it and see if that’s the issue.

Fuse box locations: https://fuse-box.info/porsche/porsch...2018-fuses/amp

Still think contacting @simaservis1108 would be able to help you or point you in the right direction as to what is wrong.

Update on what I have learned.

Question - Is the Nav part of (and inside of) the PCM unit itself?

The reason I ask is that the gauge cluster screen says navigation is loading. Someone mentioned a possible ground being the issue, but it seems odd that when I turn the car on part of the screen appears and then goes black. The radio works for a minute and then turns off. And this always says navigation is loading.

Someone told me they don’t think there is a fuse for the PCM unit and I pulled the 3 - 40 amp ones in the hatch, hoping it would reset it but it did not turn off and turn back on. I was also told unplugging the battery would not work to reset it.

Look at the link I sent you. PCM fuse is a 10amp / location E2 (near bottom
of page / rear of vehicle). But I think there could be a hardware or software issue with your PCM if the screen is blank.

E2 is blank on this car. I have e1, e3 and e4. That diagram you sent must be wrong for the car. Nothing has been moved. It was delivered this way.

As per another thread, I already checked and took out e1, e3 and e4

Ahh my mistake. Looks like Fuse E-3(20A) is main power for the PCM and Fuse E-4(5A) is for the display portion of the PCM, so there are technically two fuses.

Take a look at this thread for someone that had a similar issue: https://www.macanforum.com/threads/p...gation.103842/

Also, did you try putting in new fuses for the PCM? Sometimes it’s tough to see if they’ve failed.

so I’m dealing with the similar issue where PCM works just fine but I get a no audio available when trying to turn on the radio or any sound. I’ve reset it holding onto the volume and still nothing.
