Default Stop Order on Thermally and Noise Insulated Glass

Just ordered a '23 Macan S with Thermally and Noise Insulated Glass. SA just let me know there is a stop order on this option. Anyone else know anything about this? Thanks.

FWIW I regret getting it on our 2022 GTS. It makes toll passes and my radar detector a pain. Even mounting in the correct zones.

@Nickshu thanks for your comments about the toll pass and radar detector mounting concerns. I have the light weight glass option ordered on an upcoming 911 build. Can you advise what are the issues with the toll pass mounting? Appreciate the guidance.

FWIW, I have it on my 23 GTS, my wife’s Panamera, and had it on my former Turbo PP, and had no problems whatsoever with toll passes on any of the three. It does a fairly good job of deadening some of the higher frequency road noises,
I specifically ordered it on all 3, as I did not have it on my first Macan Turbo, and the difference is noticeable. YMMV

I have it on my 2023. Makes the car noticeably more quiet, I’m a fan. Hopefully it’s not a recall issue.

Does it take considerably more effort to break the glass by the rescue crew in an emergency situation when every second matter?

Nope. The difference is the thermal/acoustic film between two layers of light weight glass.
I have some hearing impairment and find the thermally & noise insulated glass works as advertised.
No issue with "E-ZPass". I just hold it up by the rear-view mirror.

Even w/ toll pass mounted in the designated areas it misses picking up our vehicle about 50% of the time.
