Homelink weak or bad
2023 Macan S. Homelink works fine in position 1, but in 2 and 3, such a weak signal, it will open the gate sometimes if 3 feet away from the gate antenna. I have no issues with the Homelink in my Q5 or 2018 991. Does anyone else have issues?

My experience with the HomeLink in my 2018 Macan GTS is that IT SUCKS! I have to be within 3 feet of the gate on our community to get the HomeLink transmitter to open the gate. Likewise, I have to be right at the end of my driveway for the HomeLink to open my garage door. Contrast this to my wife's Toyota 4-Runner... she can be three houses down from ours and the HomeLink will open the garage every time. I suspect Porsche did a poor job of antenna placement on the Macan but haven't investigated it yet...

My Homelink in my '23 S is the same as the one in my '18 Q7 Prestige - you have to hold it down for a couple seconds to get a response. My '21 LR Defender's Homelink works perfectly - you don't need to hold down the button, and it ALWAYS works, even for a few minutes after I shut the car off, unlike my Macan.

homelink is weak. both in 16 turbo, and 21 turbo. sometimes it's sketchy. not a strong point.

I couldn't get mine programmed to work with my garage door for the life of me and gave up and am using a visor clip opener. I followed the instructions in the car's manual exactly, tried it quite a few times, but at no time with the car switched on did I have the engine running, think that could be why? Also, does anyone have a good video or written guide to correctly programming them?

Mine works great as I approach the house from a distance. But correct, does not work without engine switched on, does not have to be running.

Doesn't work with the engine not running, or with the key not on (but without the engine running).

Same problem here, 2015 Macan Turbo. I have to get dangerously close to garage door to open. Checking if anyone been able to find a solution? Other cars in the family is a non-issue.
Thanks!

I've noticed this issue with my 2015 S as well, mostly when I'm backed into the driveway - it seems to work much better when facing the garage. I've seen other forum posts in the past for other makes/models (Audi/VW) where there's an external wire antenna that when extended has longer range. Does anyone know where the antenna is on the Macan?
