FWIW on some other Porsche models the Lane Keep Assist interferes w/ the frequency of certain garage doors and prevents programming until you remove the fuses for the LKA, program, then reinstall fuses. Never heard this being an issue on the Macan but it's an issue on the Cayenne and Panamera. Might be worth looking into if you continue to have issues.

Programming the garage door in my 23 Macan was very easy took no more than 10 minutes and the range is not a problem at all. I can open the garage door from the street which is about 150 from my garage no problem.

What if you don’t want to clear all previous codes? Say you want to retain the code for #1, but want to add a different garage door for #2? Mine works fine for #1, but I’ve had trouble programming for a different door. Thx

AFAIK just press button 2 and program as you would have initially - I don't believe you have to erase codes.

Anything to extend the range? All my other Homelink cars are quarter mile away. In my Macan I have to be 3 car lengths away.

Quarter mile? I have owned probably 15-20 cars with Homelink, none of them have opened my garage door from more than probably 100-150 feet away.

I want whatever brand garage door opener you have!

1/4 mile may be a stretch but definitely 1/10. It’s the sender that decides the range not the receiver. Lexus and Mini both had that range.

The reality is that different brands of openers seem to program more or less easily. Rolling code vs not rolling code. Different frequencies, etc. It probably depends as much on the brand/type/age of garage door opener you have as it does on Homelink and Porsche's end of things.

For example (as stated above) on the Cayenne and Panamera the LKA system operates at a crossover frequency with Liftmaster garage door openers (and only certain models of Liftmaster), but not other brands. Programs fine w/ all others but w/ certain models of Liftmaster it causes an issue.

Major PITA. I'd imagine it's difficult for Homelink to make a one-size-fits-all product, and keep up w/ the changes in the marketplace. They should just start making their own brand of garage door openers, they would take over the market LOL.

Nothing like this on the Macan. What Porsche do you have that has the geo-fencing feature - never heard of this. Are you in the US? Any aftermarket devices installed?
