ABS/PSM loss possible to drive on
Gearbox loss Park vehicle safely

Codes are:
P150E00 Vehicle speed signal - implausible for ABS Control
011F03 Rear right speed sensor, sensor fault
P0700 Permanent Control System (MIL Request)
05228D Check DME fault memory content
U0159 Communication with Park/Assist
P2162 Vehicle Speed Sensor "A"/"B" Correlation

All are taken from a POR 2.0 computer.

Car is a 2015 Macan Turbo.

Transmission fluid filters and flush done <2,000 miles ago with OEM equipment. No slipping or issues have ever been present. Running a pedal commander with Sport -2 mode on.

I'll preface that I'm not an expert on these Audi DL501 units (the PDK in your Macan), but the code that pops out at me is the P0700.

Sometimes, when one component fails, it triggers several other failures, which may be some of the other codes in your list. For instance, I had a defective spark plug in my #5 cylinder, which caused the obvious cylinder 5 misfire code, but there was also a myriad of additional codes from presumably unrelated engine/drivetrain systems. End result was spark plug replacement and all the other codes disappeared along with the misfire code.

Back to the P0700...

A site I used (HERE) which lists a variety of DL501 error codes and their likely fix, points to a Gear Sensor Module Switch as a possible culprit for the P0700 fault you are getting. They do not suggest the two circuit boards on the Mechatronic as the fix for that fault code.

I hope this guides you on your way towards nailing this issue down. I'd suggest, since the transmission on your Macan is an Audi DL501 unit, that you visit various Audi forums for a more comprehensive discussion, as they will have far more documentations of DL501 failures than you will encounter here, due to the fact that particular transmission was used across several models they've produced over the years.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I would first replace the Wheel Speed sensor (easy to change), then see what the Trouble Codes are, after all codes are cleared.

Unfortunately, if it is the Gear Position Sensor, the transmission must be removed from the vehicle, and then the transmission needs to be partially disassembled, to change that sensor.

Well fellas it did turn out to be the wheel speed sensor. I went and paid well over the odds on the part straight from Porsche Charleston ($86 with PCA discount!!!) and fitted and fixed in 10mins. They did however say they would not honor the 10 year warranty extension as it was originally build in April 2014. WTF! As it is an easy fix I really don't mind so much. In future, I will always drive in Sport Mode or Sport Plus as an excuse. Dropping the mechatronic would have been fine too but I don't have a good sanitary place to work on it currently. This gives me more of an excuse to drive my 996 more!

Thanks all.
