They have adopted the "DRL's as faux headlights with the real headlights below" look from the Jeep Cherokee and Huyndai Palisade (I believe the Juke may have done this first?)
Plus the side profile looks way too much like a Model Y.

YUCK.
Given that the Macan EV is on my list for a EV in five years or so I do have an interest in this news as it unfolds. If the four light headlight cluster is a giant DRL then I think Porsche is making a big mistake. Form and function are way out of kilter. Driving/fog lights below and headlights above would make sense. If the pictures are what is to be produced with a faux grill (like for radiator) and faux tailpipes (like it was for exhaust) then the Macan EV will be REMOVED from my list of a eventual replacement for the current Macan. Thanks for posting and keep them coming.
I will wait until we get closer to the final design and photos. Car companies spend a lot of time and money to hide the final design with additional padding and kits to throw people off. I think the 2nd lights could be optional fog lights for EU market. The rear needs a spoiler on top which I bet will show up in the final product like the Cayenne coupe which has the fixed top spoiler and movable bottom spoiler. Time will tell...
Other than the 4 led headlamp, there is nothing Porsche-looking or.inspiring about that design. Could just as easily have a Ford or Nissan badge on it. Don't want an ev, but even if I did it wouldn't be this one. The Audi Etrons that are already out look much better IMO.
Assuming (and hoping) the lights below the main headlights are supplemental. Maybe Porsche is reducing the brightness for the mains so they don't give away/show final design. Can't imagine these will be on the final design. Guess we'll see next Fall.

Yep Something more than a disguise going on with those lights...
Wow, Jump to conclusions much? You have no idea what they have adopted or where they are headed. Patience is a virtue.

LOL, no pal, I don't jump to conclusions. I've simply spent too much time peering at and looking around the camoflauge. I can see what's going on with the shape. I can see around the details. And as I said in another forum, I always reserve final judgement for seeing the car in the flesh, but my initial impressions haven't been wrong in many years.
Lot of people said the same thing when spy shots of the huge grill F80 M3/M4 were running around and they ate a lot of crow when that buck-toothed look was foisted upon us.

Your hopes are in vain, unless I'm hugely mistaken.

Unfortunately not. Look at the series of pictures of the vehicle. You can clearly see there's no lighting element inside the 4 dots.

Don't worry, the faux grille and the faux tailpipes are totally stickers for disguise. As is the larger surround around the upper 4-dot DRL's.
Unfortunately, unless I am REALLY mistaken, the headlights are not above. That 4 dot is just a DRL.

Holy Toledo what is up with this trolling? You are more critical than me and im cocky a-hole. Im not sure what your goal is but it guarantees an add to my ignore list. They look disguised to me and it's just an observation regarding how different they look. I don't like them.

Trolling? No, not trolling. Massively disappointed is all as this was high on my purchase list. Very sad and seriously hoping that I'm wrong.
