I own 2018 Macan S with 18K miles. Bought it new and driven it for 4 years with no issues. The four year warranty expires soon. How reliable Macan in the long run? Would love to hear from long term owners who have driven 80K+ miles. I have a decision to make. Either I can keep it driving for another 6+ years or sell it now (Market is hot for used cars) and get a new truck later, (no hurry, I have an another truck that i could use) . Due to Covid, working from home for the past 1.5 years and not really driving a lot. Thanks
TRUCK? Rhymes with f...
You got new car fever or something? Why would you sell a perfect (IMHO) vehicle. Rent a U-haul or Home Depot truck if you feel like doing some landscape work around the house. Now is a good time to KEEP your stuff. You may find that six months from now we are facing yet another crisis and you can't find ANYTHING to buy, let alone a cheaper truck. IDK about y'all, but I am stocking up, especially on the three precious metals...
Gold, Silver and Lead.
It is in Perfect condition. But why do i consider selling? 1.Not using it a lot, simply parked. 2. Don't know how reliable in the long run as the warranty expires soon.

LOL I am familiar with Mennonites. We have a community nearby, they are backassword and down right oppressive. Driving through Mennonite country is like watching an episode of "Little House on the Prairie."
If it was me, I'd likely sell it. Doesn't sound like you have a real use for it and have another car to drive. Reevaluate in a couple of years after we figure out if we're going back to the office more often or not and have a use for it. You'll always be able to get into another Macan.
I don't have input on Macan reliability long term, but my main concern has been and will be the PDK. Until Porsche starts allowing repairs, it's a replacement in most cases which is not inexpensive. Yes, I've had a DSG (not PDK) fail on an Audi and it's not cheap or enjoyable.
Either get an extended warranty if you think it's worth it or be prepared to pay for repairs, if and when they occur. Reliability so far after nearly a year and a half as a CPO and with around 31k miles is that the reliability has been excellent.
No issues to date other than a covered replacement of the air compressor (which blew a fuse from the 12V socket, and was replaced by a newer model with battery post clips)
I agree with @MrMarco that availability of vehicles is going to remain an issue for a while and this may be a bad time to dump anything given the lack of being able to buy anything else easily.

My car sounds identical to the OP's. I decided to sleep better and got an extended warranty. It was a lot cheaper than getting a new car with the accelerated depreciation that goes with the new car cost.
As stated, the PDK transition is the risk. Almost $20,000 to replace and virtually unserviceable with the exception of a few sensors. The PDK in the Macan is a different unit than that in the sports cars and seems to fail at a higher rate, but that could also be because there are more Macans out there than PDK equipped sports cars, being the only transmission offered in the Macan.
There are also valve cover oil leak issues. Personally, I wouldn't own a Macan without a warranty so I'd either re-up the warranty or sell the car since you're not using it anyway, and things with Covid seem to be getting worse again, not better.
2016 Macan S with 165,000 miles. Son is currently driving it to Columbus. So reliable? Yes. Best ever? No. If you are going to keep it have it inspected at the dealer looking for timing cover leak, transfer case issues, belt and tensioner issues, and slow coolant leaks.
