Default Dustless brake pads

I took delivery of my custom ordered 2018 Macan Turbo in late 2017. It now has 6600 miles. btw no sunroof!
I have always put low dust brake pads on my high end vehicles but the Turbo has presented a problem. Front pads are readily available (Hawk, Akebono, etc) but the rear calipers seem to be unique to the Turbo-360mm. I can’t seem to find low dust rear pads. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I do not own a Turbo (I don't even own a Macan, yet), so I can't confirm proper part numbers based on experience, but TireRack shows 350mm (not 360mm) rears, and lists Akebono, Hawk, and Centric ceramic (low dust) options.

Thank you for your reply. I will call them today and discuss those options. I was pretty sure the rears were 360mm but I will again check the specs.

I just spoke with Suncoast Porsche. I’m not sure of the specific specs but while the Turbo and GTS use the same front pads, the rear pads are different as I suspected.

Correct - the GTS uses the same rears as the S (330mm IIRC).

I just ordered a set of Hawk Ceramic Pads for my rear Turbo brakes from CARiD. Apparently they spoke directly with Hawk and confirmed the fit.
For $120 plus shipping it is worth the experiment.

What are you putting on the fronts?

I have already installed the Hawk Ceramic Pads in the front. I suspect that the front pads being compatible with both the Gen 1 GTS and Turbo made them easier to source.

Awesome. Could you reply back with your thoughts on the pads after you've driven the car for a bit? I plan to switch my GTS to a low-dust pad soon after it gets here.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to install the new rear pads until spring. I use my Jeep (winter beater)during the harsh New England winters.
I have always been pleased with Hawk and Akebono low dust pads.

Have a safe, and enjoyable, winter then.

REPORT BACK TO US IN THE SPRING.

I'll try and do the same.

I ran Hawk Ceramic low dust pads on my 997 Turbo - they’re perfectly useable on the road and last a long time. If you get them too hot they’ll start to eat your rotors, but I doubt a Macan or 911 will ever get to that point on the road (I tried them out for a track day, did not do it again...).
