Default Ordering a GTS questions

Trading a low option 2018 base macan for a new GTS. Can’t decide between volcano grey (too dark and shows dirt like black?) and Carrera white. Looking for thoughts and any other feedback on must have options before submitting my final build. Thx mike.

White on red interior. I’m new owner of a 2017, Rhodium Silver on red full leather. Interior is unique and gorgeous.

We love our white/red interior '17 GTS but I think my wife has tried to get into the wrong car several times in the Costco parking lot. Even though I've trained her to park in the back 40 it seems like every other car is a white Macan...

Will probably order a new one when our warranty is out next year- definitely will be getting a light colour living here in the desert!

Can't go wrong either way, IMO. I opted for white here in the southwest (northern Arizona) where the sun is brutal, as @skl mentions above. Even with a sunshade, the interior gets quite hot and even driving, the black dashboard absorbs heat like crazy, making the A/C work even harder. While not as hot as the greater Phoenix area, we get 30x the UV radiation up here compared to sea level. It also doesn't help that the sunroof isn't solidly sealed on the inside; heat penetrates the glass and gets absorbed by that funky fabric. I hope they fix that in a future model as it's quite annoying to see the sun shining through even when totally closed.
Back to the color question, any super dark color will also show dirt, and white - while dirt does show up - it's not as prone to looking all motley after a light rain or some dust. There are probably as many gray as white cars around these parts. Look at pictures and see what holds your attention longer. I'd have been happy with a gray color, as well. Had black before and just wanted something different and a white one happened to show up.
BTW, are you @skl by any chance the fellow, I ran into at the dealership nearly two months ago?

How about something in between...

Dolomite Silver/red interior. Doesn’t show much dirt at all.
Good luck... it’s a great car!

This is what I have on my 2020 S and love the combo - previously had moonlight blue metallic + brown interior and silver is SO much easier to maintain. No regrets. Would only go dark on a weekend car, not a daily driver.

thanks. I’m leaning towards white. My current is Rhodium, which I like, but looking for a small change. I like the sportiness of red interior but can’t commit and likely will stick with black.

Sounds like a beauty. I read somewhere recently that 39% of new cars are white! Still not going to deter me!

Thanks for the feedback. In CO the sun is intense. I like the lighter and medium gray colors a bit more than Volcano. I saw pics that showed it's a lot darker than agate or slate but of course those aren’t available unless you go PTS at which point I’d go with Dolphin grey (To be clear, I’m not paying for PTS though). I’m guessing agate or slate would hide dirt a lot better than volcano which looks almost black to me.

good idea. Here it is. Hopefully it works as I’m doing this from my phone. Please let me know if missing key options. For example, I wonder if surround view is worth 1200$ thanks for looking!

I purchased mine off the lot and specifically wanted surround view. I like it. Handy for parking lots.

I also wanted anything but black so I chose white and the standard interior with garnet red leather package. It would be another 220.00 on what you have now.

If you’re getting surround view, select Premium Plus pkg instead. For 1920.00 you will 14 way seats, LED headlights in black, Surround view, auto-dimming mirrors, and ventilated seats, along with the other goodies you’ve already selected. (Bose, sunroof, etc).

If you’re going for the performance-oriented GTS, I’d also consider Sport Chrono.

My interior:

Black headlights are standard on the GTS. All the Premium option gives you is the automated dimming.

I had a Carrera white with the red interior and it was vey nice. It was a 19S. I agree the Volcano is quite dark. I traded for a 20 GTS in Dolomite Silver with the red interior and love the combination. The silver is a little more forgiving than the white. I love the GTS, much sportier than the S. In my opinion unless you are going to track the car you won’t need Sport Chrono.

Black seats are probably the most common by far, but boy do they get hot in the summer sun. The white exterior makes a difference - I had black before! Touching the black steering wheel and dashboard is bad enough -- even with a reflective sun shade. Went with tan as too light of an upholstery color shows every spot. To me, the Porsche red seats are too red; cordovan would be a nice option, were it available, like I had on my old X3.
