I strongly advise getting a very thorough inspection of the engine to check for the timing cover leak. The transfer case issue is very noticeable in a test drive.
What are the tell-tale signs of the transfer case issue?

When you can least afford to deal with it.

Good morning Tuan, and welcome aboard!

Many of the good folks here have already given basically all of the pros and cons of Porsche/Macan ownership.

I’ll just add that my ownership of two Cayenne Turbos and a ‘17 Macan GTS were generally very positive overall. My first 957 gen CTT was problem free, as was my Macan GTS. My 958 gen CTT however had about $25k worth of issues during the 3 years I owned it, all covered by warranty thankfully.

So again, Porsche is not going to be completely Toyota/Lexus-like in terms of reliability/durability in general, but I’d say they’re above average. But….but….just be aware that if things do happen to go wrong, it can get UGLY out of warranty. Porsche is not for the faint of wallet, especially as the mileage and years progress! Also as others have mentioned, keep in mind the maintenance costs as well. It’s definitely higher than most folks are accustomed to.

A nice condition CPO’ed Macan GTS is a great way to buy in. Best of luck! You’ll enjoy it!

Some dealers are $175 per hour and don’t suck
