Default Traded in our Macan Turbo w/PP

Here's a heads up, just for Rennlist:

Last night we swapped our custom ordered 2018 Macan for a Panamera.
We're sad to see it go but we need just a bit more room for hauling the family around (we've graduated to a car seat in the next size up and, man, it's just too tight back there).
If someone has been shopping for a (loaded to the gills) Macan Turbo (440HP with the performance package), this one should be hitting the market soon.
It has over 16k miles, but it's still pristine.
It's been properly serviced by Porsche, broken in responsibly (and never, ever wound up high before the oil hit at least 180), has PPF on the front and I refused to drill holes for the front plate, and I guarantee it has been in zero accidents or even had any minor paint work - we did need Porsche to fix an exhaust rattle, though.
I originally ordered it through Porsche Bellevue, but traded it for a Panamera that was on the lot at Porsche Tacoma.
Porsche Tacoma said they're going to CPO it despite the fact that there's more than a couple years left on the factory warranty, so we'll see if that's true.
I have no idea what they'll try to sell it for, but I only got 80k for it (sigh... depreciation is a b**ch) so I suspect they'll want high 80s to low 90s.
Oh, and sorry, but at some point we lost the cigarette lighter that comes in the smoking package. It's a non-smoking vehicle.

That is a beautiful Macan Turbo. Someone will be very happy with that. I hope you enjoy the Panamera- they are great cars. Happy New Year. Michael

Beautiful car. Tempted. Tacoma’s just down the road and we’ve been thinking about adding a second Macan to the garage...

Not looking, but kudos to you for skipping the glass in the roof.

Hmmmm, very tempting I’m going to give them a call in a few days.

Your build has everything I’m looking for except air suspension- do you mind sharing why you skipped it.

It would be a great road trip for me - fly out to Tacoma and drive it home to NJ.

Yeah, they gave me a hard time about the lack of sunroof - but I never use them and they just add rattles (and weight). It's funny - the code in the internal Porsche build sheet is actually "Sunroof Delete" like removing it is some kind of special thing like deleting AC, or radio, or rear seats.

Well, the good news is that I didn't! PASM/AS is included standard on the Turbo w/PP. And, unlike a normal Macan Turbo, the performance package has the same suspension setup as the GTS.

Based on tips I got on this very forum I a couple years ago I also chose the 20" vs the standard 21" wheels and I think it rides better than the one I test drove with 21s (plus there are more tire options at 20").

thanks for that information - I didn’t realize the PP came standard with air suspension and PASM.

FYI, PASM is standard on all Turbos. AS is optional on non-PP Turbos.

‘Thank you.

Is Sport Chrono included on Turbo models with or without the PP ?

Standard on the PP. Optional on everything else.

I have it, but it's a useless feature, IMHO.

Yeah, that's way too high.
Maybe they'll get lucky and someone will pay that much.
But YOU, however, know what they paid for it (plus a few grand for CPO).
Oh, and, this turned out to be one of those dealerships that tries to tack on random "fees" (speaking from experience), so pay attention.

They listed it so fast, they don't even have photos yet... could they have just rubber-stamp CPO'ed it? They got it around 7pm Sunday night and I find it hard to believe they really inspected it thoroughly Monday when the listing went up, but who knows.
The carfax shows service visits, but it doesn't show any details about the exhaust bracket repair I mentioned - but I have all the service records, so if you buy it PM me and I'll send them to you.

It's so weird to see it being listed for sale... sorry to obsess over it.
This is the 3rd Porsche I've sold or traded, and every time it feels like I've broken up with an old girlfriend and I want to snoop around and see who she winds up dating next.

I've always wondered how my first Porsche Cayman S is doing and hope she's being treated well. Good thing I don't have a CarFAX account! LOL

i keep staring at the build sheet for your former car and it’s specced so nicely - all the options I’m looking for but there’s to many red flags with this dealer for me:

- IMO the dealer priced the car way too high relevant to what they paid ( BTW thanks for that info ). I do realize dealers need to make a profit but it just seems like a bit too much in this case for my taste.

- dealers yelp reviews aren’t exactly stellar.

- dealers trying to tack on random fees is a huge turn off to me.

- the “Rapid “ CPO inspection in this case raises a few concerns for me especially since the car is equipped with PCCB - did they even have enough time to do the density check on the rotors.

- My local dealer has been so good to me that I’d feel bad buying a car elsewhere - every transaction ive done with my local SA has always been so easy - he gives me a reasonable price on my trades, sells me a new car at a reasonable price and we’re done in 5 to ten minutes and if theres any post sales issues they’re always “ Johnny on the Spot “ and resolve it promptly.

With all those red flags I’m going to pass and will stick with my local trusted dealer.
