Welcome our new Macan to the SOUL stable! As we had three 987.2 Cayman among us and now that John B has young son, it only makes sense to let our "street" 987.2 Cayman S go (Don't worry, Paul will be building his S up soon) and add a "Henry Hauler" to our fleet.
We got this 2015 S with 25,000 miles and love the Palladium Metallic paint with Agate Grey interior combo.
Our first mods were sourced from our friends at Flat 6 Motorsports.
Their High Flow Intake System took minutes to install and actually does make a noticeable difference in sound at higher RPM's which isn't too surprising considering how beefy the OEM filters are.
We also opted for clear side markers - a small mod but it definitely improves the aesthetics in our opinion. Two clear lenses are included as is a new set of 194NA orange bulbs from Sylvania.
This week we'll be flashing the car with an ECU Tune from Scott at Softronic and we'll be choosing a set of Brixton Forged wheels. Will we upgrade the exhaust? You bet. Stay tuned!
Are you guys going to do an exhaust for the Macan?
We have downpipes ready for testing. Exhaust for 2.0T will be coming out soon. We'll design an exhaust for this next year when development slows down a little bit.
Some time ago we tuned the Macan with a Softronic ECU tune which made an AMAZING difference in the drivability and power delivery.
We noticed inconsistencies on boost up top and as soon as boost came on hard. We replaced our diverter valves with new units from Flat 6 Motorsports which solved the problem!
If your Macan doesn't feel consistent with boost, you might want to consider upgrading your diverter valves!
