Default TPMS sensors

I assume any 433Mhz TPMS sensor will work on the Macan right?

Will need to get an extra set for the summer wheels and want to avoid getting skinned by the dealer/Porsche when for example VDub or other would work. Price disparity range from 46 bucks to just under 120. Here is an example

Those will work, for any of the sensors you buy, just make sure the seller has programed the sensors. The HUF brand are the OEM sensors.

I use the TPMS sensors sold by TireRack. They work just fine on my winter tires and IIRC, they were $100 cheaper each,

Got a set of Huf from TPMS.com for my 2011 C2S. Great price and they work perfectly.

Original Porsche brand TPMS Sensors (Huf) replaced by a Porsche dealer service department in 2014. Cost: $1,877.94 parts and labor. Amazing! This was on my 2008 Cayman I purchased the end of August '14 from a WV Benz dealer that took the car in trade. The only thing that concerned me was the TPMS light. The salesman talked to their service manager and he said it was most likely the sensor batteries were dead due to age and when I got back home to Virginia to take it to my Porsche dealer, have them checked and if bad call us for approval and we'll pay for their replacement. Well, as promised they approved replacing all four sensors and did pay after Porsche called them with the amount. He was cordial and said well, we did promise. If any of my cars need sensors in the future I won't be going to the dealer to have it done. My plan is to buy the sensors from Tire Rack or Titan, take it to a tire shop and pay them to change them out.

Why one should always go to a dealer:

I need to have tires swapped out as the Macan S is coming with summer tires. I ordered the tires through a local tire place (after my usual source went out of business in NJ - yep was cheaper to ship tires from there than buy locally) for a 300 dollar saving over what the delaer offered as they have a "special deal" with their some outfit.

Mounting the tires at the dealer was double what a tire shop charges.

Yep you should always go to a dealer... Nah, the day I can't work on my car anymore, I'll call for an Uber or seriously look for my 71 Cuda

That is insane! I had a 2008 Cayman S and I remember swapping out the sensors at the 5 or 6 year mark when I needed to replace the tires. I knew they were at the end of life and figured I would replace them if the tire was coming off the rim.

The hardest thing to do was to locate the right frequency version that matches the receiver in the car.

Agreed, that's an insane price. Replacing the sensors is easy. You don't have to take the tires off, just need to break the bead to get access. When I picked up a 718, my winter wheels fit fine, just needed to replace the sensors. Took about 10 mins per wheel, helps I have a tire changer and balancer. Job is easy if you have the right tools

I would not recommend Titan. I had a set installed and they were spent in two seasons of winter setup operation. I contacted them and they said they would sell me some replacements. My original 2012 CSBE sensors are still working. Also if anyone has Durametric you can read the sensor battery remaining life with the tool

Many different brands will fit your application as per the link I sent you. Huf is the OE brand of sensor. Porsche dealer gets the exact same sensor they are just labeled Porsche OE part number so you will pay whatever criminal price they what to charge. You can buy stupid cheap Chinese brands that will not last very long. I would at minimum get a reputable brand. Autel, Huf, Alligator will all work. They just need to be programmed for your year, make and model. Install them and they will be auto relearn.

I believe another OE quality brand/supplier is Beru.
