That is absolutely reasonable. My current Porsche Macan Turbo was my first which I ordered just after the Macan came out. I ordered in October and took delivery in March which is to say this isn't exactly atypical for them, especially in a new model year. What I will say for certain though is that I fell in love and have never looked at another car make seriously since. Despite all the crazy problematic delivery flaws, its all made ~nearly~ acceptable by the experience of owning and driving. I've owned over 40 vehicles in my lifetime and have found Porsche to be the best experience as a owner and especially as a driver.

...so all that to say: Welcome to the family! I hope you will find its worth it in the end.

Still, parking cars for so long, near port/sea is not the best way to start a « life » as a car!
Hopefully they were covered/protected and after that, they will benefit a serious detailing before delivery. We will see.

No the delay is not my issue itself, it's that if that knew it was going to sit in port for months, they should have planned it out so it doesn't.

All these cars are going to have rust inside and even if they were to superficially clean it up, the damage could potentially be problematic far in the future after the measely 4 year warranty ends. Not to mention sitting out in the sun in the ocean air is also going to reduce the life of the clear coat.

If I could get my $10K deposit back I would 100% cancel my order and wait but obviously the dealers are not going to okay that.

You should be able to get your deposit back. Our dealer said we could get it back anytime before driving it off the lot.

I was led to believe I'd forfeit the deposit if I cancel my order but I just reviewed the purchase agreement and only thing it mentions is if the car is delivered and I don't pay within 48 hours. I'm going to reach out to the dealer on Monday and see if I can cancel it and get my money back.

Far better without it.

Not saying I like or dislike it, but Provence and wicked don't belong in the same sentence.

Our Turbo, prepped and pickup scheduled for Saturday. Porsche Code PRRCHM14. Macan is stunning. Super excited. And trading our Volcano Grey 2018 Macan GTS in.

A beautiful Frozen Blue Metallic is soon going out into the world. It has Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires — exactly what is on the turbo demonstrator at my local dealer.

Maybe it is not purely random, that instead all turbos with 22” wheels get Michelin Pilot Sports A/s tires, with all the rest getting random tires based on availability.
