Dashcam option
I purchased the dashcam option on my Macan 4 and wondering a few things
- https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...d48747c6d56d2c Is this the right place to purchase the dashcam? Anyone have experience with this?
- Will I need to take this to a dealer to install or since it's prewired it's pretty much plug and play?

From the reviews and comments I've read, Porsche's own dashcam is not as good as some others in the market.
I was told by the Porsche dealer, if I buy their camera, they will set it up for me. If the Macan is prewired, it should be just plug & play though.
But I'm also keen to know what other dashcams would be suitable and are really good.

If you want something highly integrated (Porsche's is not well integrated IMO), Fitcamx seems to be a good answer. The advantage is that the power comes from the mirror wire, so there's no extra wire to add! I don't know about its quality, though.
On the other hand, there are several tricks for using the wires supplied with the dashcam option with the front&rear market dashcams (I assume it's front&rear in the Macan EV); you just have to choose the one that meets your needs.
Let us know which one you prefer.
