Default Gas Prices - Holy S&^t

I was amazed when we dropped below $2 - never thought I would see that again.

Metro Kansas City prices are in free fall. Less than a week ago, I thought we just might see $1.5X. Today the lowest in the area is $1.39 and I am wondering if we might even cross under $1.00.

Predictions are oil will drop to $40. However, now that it is apparent Iran has Teh Bomb, they will rise as if on a solid rocket booster the instant the baloon goes up.

Iran doesn't quite have "the bomb". they don't YET have the centrifuges required to purify and enrich, and several other necessary infrastructure....but they will at the current course and speed. Of course, when it comes to the media and the current penchant for mass hysteria amongst what used to be a proud country, the facts no longer matter!

Anyway, it is good to see gas under $2.00/gal..for all grades!

Eh, hopefully Israel makes a pre-emptive strike and takes care of it.

+1 on enjoying the lower fuel costs!

Sounds like it's about time to buy a 10,000 gallon gas tank for personal use.

Back when I lived in Seattle and we experienced gasoline shortages, I had a guy about a block away from me decided to do that, but he went the multiple 55 gal drum route. Unfortunately, he chose his basement as his storage location. One day there was a very loud BOOM and concurrent shock wave. The solid wood front door of his house was found splintered and about a block away in a different direction.

Disagree. Given how wrong our intel community, and how often, I suspect that Iran does in fact have a working (but small) atomic bomb. They are not thermonuclear yet, but they do have a bomb.

Not so certain about the "atomic" part yet, but they certainly can make one hell of a dirty bomb! I say bomb them anyway just in case.......

BTW, not our Intel, but the Intel of the Israelis for me.

I wonder if the new President Elect will offer help to Exxon Mobil when oil goes to $40 and their profit $$'s stop coming in?

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to pay more than $1.50 for a gallon of gas, but deflation right now is not going to help out the job market. For those of you who took economics in high school or college, reference your Macro Economics Handbooks.

The other shoe could really drop here in Houston if Oil continues it's slide.

So now that oil is cheap again, every one is still willing to pony up for alternative energy? I personally don't want people like VR risking life and limb over something we can alleviate. Although energy issues will be around for my life time it would be nice to reduce the exposure that we have in all the unstable parts of the world that happen to have oil.

If not limb, how about some other appendage?
