No, Frank might crash it.

You have a mansion, I don’t know the price
I like to crash there so I tell you it’s nice
I drove in your car, scrape into the walls
You have accountants pay for it all

They say I’m trouble, but I have a good time
I’m just reading Haikus, how I wish I could rhyme
I’m a track ***** supah stah

Your Maserati does 188
I lost my license, now I don’t race
I drove your limo, drove fast on the track
I lock the doors in case you come back

I’m setting records, my fan he can’t wait
I write my letters, I tell me I’m great
So I got me a Honda, big stickers on the doors
I drove your car, I’m a supah track *****

Lucky I’m so modest after all I’ve been through
Everybody says Ghet-to, Ghet-to
I can’t explain but sometimes I still duel
Drove your car so good so far

I go to DE’s, some weeks I do four
It’s hard to drove when I’ve crashed in your door
It’s tough to handle this fortune and fame
Everybody’s so stupid, I haven’t changed

They say I’m trouble but it takes all my time
Everybody say Ghet-to, Ghet-to
I keep on posting, guess I’ll never know why
Drove your car so good so far,
yeah, yeah, yeah

Radical Racer:
Very funny. Maybe GR will invite you to be his Supah Stah PR Director. Of course, you'd have to compensate him by letting him drive your car.

This guy is right out of the textbook:

Narcissism:

“According to the legend of Narcissus, this Greek boy fell in love with his own reflection in a pond.

Clinical data show that there is rarely any realistic basis for this notion of greatness and uniqueness… one thing separates them from persons of similar circumstance: the pomp.

They are ridiculously pompous and inflated personalities, bordering on the farcical and provoking resentment.

The narcissist is forced to use other people in order to feel that he exists. It is trough their eyes and through their behaviour that he obtains proof of his uniqueness and grandeur. He is a habitual "people-junkie". With time, he comes to regard those around him as mere instruments for his satisfaction, as two-dimensional cartoon figures with negligible lines in the script of his magnificent life. He becomes unscrupulous and suppresses all the discomfort that he might have felt in the past concerning his conduct. He seems never to be bothered by the constant use he makes of his milieu. He seems not to mind the consequences of his acts: the damage and the pain that he inflicts on others and even the social condemnation and sanctions that he often has to endure.

He exploits people, sometimes unintentionally, but always ruthlessly and mercilessly. He uses them to obtain confirmation of the accuracy of his grandiose self-portrait.

The narcissist is usually above treatment. He is offended by any hint regarding defects or dysfunctions in his personality or in his behaviour. He knows best.”

An associated innate facial expression is the radiant gingival smile (broadly exposing gums and teeth).

Default WOW!

DAR951, what an analysis!

You've got ME checking myself now!

...I guess I'll have to cease executing my typical "radiant gingival smile" immediately!!

This post is incredible, probably the LONGEST one I've seen yet on Rennlist...just amazing how someone can bury themselves so bad.

It's a shame that Frank has apparently fell onto some bad times, I feel for him in that respect...I don't like to hear about anyone wrecking cars at the track!!

It seems his time has come and the signs are calling him to another passtime...do they have Snowboarding in Cali.??

***The previous was NOT an attempt to ridicule Ghetto Racer, merely my view on things after spending two hours reading the replies to Frank's "Manifesto".***

Carrera 51, please do your best to keep me "in check" if you see me acting up at track events...and promptly BACKHAND me if you see any signs of my "radiant gingival smile"!!

hey, you guys have been having so much fun with out me. anyway, just spent a beautiful day at thunderhilL. was suppose to be 105F but clouds came in. we had two track newbies, one had a 993 C4S. i helped him out a little bit. he knows nothing about my controversy. anyways, he asked me to drive his car but i didn't... took him around in my car instead. he's really worried about the dangers of open tracking. i gave him warning about the possible dangers but also told him my opinion - that if he has the right attitude and the correct learning method, he will be ok. he had a good time and i think he will be back for more.

another guy had a cayenne s (naturally aspirated automatic). again, he also have no idea of my controversy. he was helped mostly by other volunteer instructor. he asked if i'd like to drive his car, i said sure that'd be interesting. took it around for a few easy laps. started with PSM on but turned it off after a few corners as it was a bit intrusive, but balance was really good, mild understeer with good rotation on lift throttle. didn't go too hard as it does feel tall and i can't help but think what if it tips over... heheh. typical of porsche though, it has fabulous brakes. power was adequent. this student was a natural (and his instructor did an awesome job with him). he was doing exceptionally well... had the line down pretty good (except 2 corners), was extremely smooth on transition from all the inputs (braking, gas, turn...), used the whole track (his sony GT training paid off).

anyway, so you guys can welcome two new track addicts into the porsche family.

i was speaking to a mutual friend of Mark Dalen and I... this guy knows MD for longer and has a much better idea Mark's character. i got a little better perspective on MD... perhaps he really has no personal objective on me. i can believe that. one thing is for sure, although we may differ in opinion on lot of things, we both take instructing very seriously. he's been outspoken probably because he feel i'm bad for the instructor image as a whole. i've been outspoken because i feel my methods works. i think i deserve more credit (when it comes to instructing) from MD. 105 days instructing gives me considerable experience on the subject. i might not have done wonders with 100% of my students but i can gurantee well above 90% are happy. i feel in time my instructor feedback will prove that, as more of my past (and future) students reply.

our teaching philosophy difference is probably the classic conservative vs. liberal... neither is really right/wrong, just different. in any case, if you guys are willing to take a step back and use this opportunity so we all can discuss DE and such, i'll be glad to input my 2 cents. otherwise this will be my last posting on this thread... you guys can continue to have fun with the haiku's and such. i must admit some are really funny.

i love the motorsports and i will be around for a long time, you can bank on that. i have no interest in having beef with anyone, including MD. as bottom line is, we all love to track. negative energy sucks, i hope we can turn this into a more positive thread.

ps, as you guys know i'm far from a eloquent writer so you'll have to excuse me. there are some things i said/wrote i wish i could take back but, who hasn't done that in their life?

More from the "Textbook":

“Narcissists are addicted to being famous… This, by far, is their predominant drive…. There is almost nothing that the narcissist refrains from doing, almost no borders that he hesitates to cross to achieve renown...

He places himself in the centre of discussions, even as a figure of controversy...

To him, there is no such thing as "bad publicity" – what is important is to be in the public eye…"

I rest my case.

DAR951:
Your last post pretty much sums it up.

Jeff:
Are you coming to the Summit Point club race in October? You can show off your "radiant gingival smile" as much as you want, as long as you bring beer

Default Frank, welcome back. We really missed you.

Are you smoking crack again? You show up here and start talking about driving students cars (trucks) again? You take of PSM because it was too intrusive? But if you, by your own admission, are only driving students cars at 6 or 7/10s, why does the PSM even come on? Come on man, rob a bank a get a clue.

105 days instructing doesnt mean you deserve crap from MD or anyone else. You must have had a drink from the magic cool aid as nothing has changed. Liberal and conservative are polar opposites, as are you and Mark.

I love this part:

i've been outspoken because i feel my methods works. i think i deserve more credit (when it comes to instructing) from MD. 105 days instructing gives me considerable experience on the subject.
Frank, you are as clueless as ever, but we're glad you're back.

E. J.

PS - I'm still pissed I didn't get personal recognition on your website the way DJ and Mark did. I mean, I think I was the first one to ever call you out anywhere - the TQ board after you 'flogged' a students car.

Brings back such fond memories

Jeff,

Looks like the longest post got trimmed recently. In May it was 118 Pages - 2932 posts/replies, and had just been moved to the off topic forum. Last I looked it was well into the 3000's!

Cool

For us lappers and HPDE types...

It's got to be more than just jive--
The winningest DE'er alive!
He's tested his mettle
His skills in fine fettle
You'd see if your car he could drove!

I'm a sucker for limericks and groaners.

No, you are wrong. You are risking other peoples' property without the means to pay for it if you damage it. You refuse to accept that responsibility. That is not "just different", you are wrong.

Okay, while I don't know the details regarding the two alleged incidents that GR was involved in, it seems that BOTH of the vehicles were NOT HIS??

So I'll reserve judgement and just give my perspective.

Was one a rented Miata racer and the other a 240SX or something? (I have not "strayed" to the other sites as of yet)

Hopefully he has paid for the damage or is making arrangements...would think he would learn from that??

...hmmmm, now he's driving Cayennes???

I have driven a Students car from time to time, some real gems too...but they are only during the first 2-3 laps of the first session, first day, to talk about track geography while driving at a less than "spirited" pace.

If I were to slide a student's car, or even have an incident with it...that would probably be enough to warrant staying OUT of the left seat of another's vehicle!!??

On the other hand, I have driven several of my friend's cars, including a few different race cars and happen to co-drive one of them in endurance races...this involves some serious trust between two friends and nothing short of a "Gentleman's Agreement" that if I damage one of them, it's plain and simple, I take care of it.

A "Gentleman's Agreement" only goes so far in a serious incident when someone is driving a marque that he cannot possibly afford to fix/replace...so when considering hopping in another's vehicle to turn some laps, one should consider the stature of his personal bankroll.

I would NOT race another person's racecar in a sprint race, never never...but an endurance race seems to have MUCH less damage due to driver's errors and being too aggressive...it's just not necessary to turn the fastest lap times in an endurance race.

At least that's what I'VE figured out??

It seems the subject under scrutiny here will never "get it"...what a shame. Popularity, albeit negative, will have it's ways of catching up with him in due time...and it can't possibly be anything good.

Mark, can I drive your car at Summit??

NO!???

...yes, I do plan on participating in the Potomac PCA Club Race at Summit, it's on my VERY short list of venues/events to race the Porsche in this year.

...and friend, you should know me well enough to know that I ALWAYS bring BEER!

As a side note, DJ...I saw one of those Radical two-seaters at Summit Point about a month ago - MY GOD!! That thing was nothing shy of SEXY! The lines were agressive and made the car look just plain exotic, the use of aluminum supports at the rear of the engine compartment, visible from behind the car just showed the quality of build those cars apparently have. I LOVE yellow racecars and wish my Toyota Atlantic had two seats...it's not yellow either...I was SO envious. We were all worried that he was going to enter the SU race...he was a DE student - whew!

DJ...can I drive your car?

Okay, I failed miserably in Haiku class...but here goes:

Oops - I wreck car,
Thank GOD it's not mine,
Later on dude!

So it's a "four five four" - close enough?
