Are you saying that the top SM drovers are pushing the rules a bit? Well I never......

Although I have to hand it to Mazda, the MX-5 Cup Pro Series looks to be some great racing.

Turning pro means nothing. My bet was that you would be paid by the team (not sponsors) to drive in an acceptable (to me) series.

I could be pro tomorrow by getting a Grand Am license.

Now you're backing out of one of your statements yet again. There's a mountain of difference between pushing the limits of the rules, getting caught, accepting the punishment and continuing on to find the next gray area and then blatantly cheating and doing the exact opposite of what the rulebook states is allowed. Racers do the first, losers do the 2nd.

If they gave one to me, they'll give one to ANYBODY.

Now, that guy Bryan Watts is seriously pro caliber, but what do I know?

Oh no, I've known it...I was here on the forums back in the good old days when Ghetto was making a name for himself on the internet and crashing cars. I happened back by the board when someone posted a quote of mine from Bimmerforums.com in the track forum here, happened upon the newly founded GR forum and found that GR was still living out his life of fantasy. He's like a stray dog...you can ignore him, kick him, and stop feeding him, but he still keeps coming back to your door step.

Ha, as I've said many times, getting a Pro license was multiple times easier than getting a BMW Club Racing license. All I had to do was show up, sign a few sheets and pay my fees. It had nothing to do with my skills or lack thereof (despite my great starting position in both of my Star Mazda races, my finishing position was nothing to write home about).

One need look no further than some of the drivers in the back half of the fields of ALMS, Rolex, World Challenge, and Grand-Am Cup to know that skill is not a pre-requisite to becoming a "Pro" driver.

***Serves 'em right in mho. I run CLEAN. And I summarily disagree with Frank about the "if they don't catch you it ain't illegal" comment. I work HARD at becoming a better racer. Cheating is not only unfair, but an insult to the whole group at large. If you can't win honestly, you are a loser. JMHO,
